Today begins a new chapter:
Okanagan United Football Club is now Kelowna United FC.
Our identity is rooted in the place we proudly call home. Every element of our crest tells the story of Kelowna, our community, and the players who wear our badge.
At its heart stands the grizzly bear, inspired by the origin of the name Kelowna, derived from the Syilx (Okanagan) language and commonly translated as “grizzly bear.” It represents strength, courage, and our connection to the city’s history, reminding every player to never forget where they come from.
Above the bear blooms three Arrowleaf Balsamroot flowers, Kelowna’s official flower, affectionately known as the Kelowna Sunflower. Each flower represents one of the three proud clubs: Kelowna United, OMYSA, and TOFC, whose merger laid the foundation for the club we are today, honouring our shared history and unity.
Within the bear’s mane rests the silhouette of Knox Mountain, Kelowna’s iconic landmark. It represents home, tradition, and the landscape that has inspired generations of players who proudly wear our badge.
Flowing through the crest is Okanagan Lake, connecting communities throughout the valley and reminding us that, together, we are one club.
Our colours complete the story. Sky Blue reflects the open skies and the waters of Okanagan Lake. Maroon is inspired by the rich earth of the Okanagan, our renowned vineyards and orchards, and the warmth and hospitality that define our valley.
As Kelowna United Football Club, we carry forward everything that made our club successful while embracing a name that proudly reflects our city and community.

The badge has evolved, but our commitment remains the same: developing players, strengthening our community, and providing the only complete player development pathway in BC’s Interior from grassroots football through Select and into the BC Soccer Premier League (BCSPL), with direct European club partnerships.
