We are excited to announce we have added a new coach!
Give a warm welcome to Coach Aldo!

Aldovino “Aldo” has loved sports and sports medicine from an early age - almost as much as he loves sharing this passion with others. Aldo brings a high energy and intensity to every workout he is a part of and you can often catch him cheering on the person beside him. A recent graduate from UBC Okanagan’s Human Kinetics/Health and Exercise Sciences program, Aldo has gained plenty of knowledge about the human body, how it works and how to work it to obtain wellness objectives. He continues his quest for knowledge with the help of a variety of materials including research papers, participating in research himself and learning from the practical experiences of those around him.

Aldo has participated in a wide variety of individual and team-based sports such as Hockey, Wrestling, Boxing and Muay Thai (just to name a few). After 7 years of playing Hockey (most of which he spent as a goalie), he started Boxing in 2014 and then began Wrestling for his school team. When he moved to Kelowna for school, he transitioned to Muay Thai and weight lifting.

Along the way Aldo has gained additional insights from coaches and fellow athletes. He is also an experienced physiotherapist assistant and student athletic trainer for multiple sports/teams (including UBC Okanagan’s Mens' Rugby team), and has designed and implemented many diverse individual and team exercise plans.

Aldo is excited to start helping you reach your goals here at the Yard!
