⛳🔥 The First Ever Fury Family Classic Golf Tournament is in the books! 🔥⛳

What a day! We may have had a little (okay… a lot 😆) of rain, but nothing could dampen the spirit, the laughs, and the incredible energy out on the course.

The Fury Family Classic, hosted by Kawartha Fury Minor Lacrosse, was filled with great shots, questionable shots, friendly competition, amazing prizes, and memories that will last long after the scorecards are put away. 🌧️🏌️‍♂️

A huge thank you to all of our participants for showing up, embracing the weather, and bringing the Fury family spirit. Your support means so much and helps us continue to grow our lacrosse community. ❤️🖤

A special thank you to Sturgeon Point Golf Course for hosting us and helping make our first tournament a success.

Rain or shine, the Fury family knows how to bring the heat 🔥

Until next time… keep swinging, keep smiling, and keep the fire burning! 🏌️‍♀️🔥

💚💙🖤💛♥️Remembering Eric Hainer #16 ♥️💛🖤💙💚

Last night was a night that words can hardly capture.

The floor became a place of memories, healing, connection, and love. The emotions were real, the support was felt, and our communities came together to show the incredible strength that comes from the medicine game gifted to us.

Lacrosse has always been more than a game — it is connection, culture, family, and a place where we carry each other through both the highs and the hardest moments.

We laughed, we cried, we shared stories, and we honoured Eric in the way he loved most — through the game.

Grieving takes time, but nights like this remind us that we don’t have to walk through it alone. The outpouring of support from everyone who stood beside us, joined us, and sent love from afar means more than we can express.

Eric’s impact reaches far beyond the floor. His spirit, his passion, and his love for the game will continue to live on in everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Forever remembered. Forever part of the Fury and Laker families❤️💛🖤💙💚

🖤❤️ Kawartha Fury U22 Game Night — Friday, June 12th — LOCATION UPDATE ❤️🖤
The last two weeks have brought unimaginable heartbreak to our local community and our lacrosse family. The most recent event was a tragic accident including our own U22 player, Eric Hainer. Eric, along with two others, lost their lives, and another person remains hospitalized.
There are no words that can make sense of this amount of loss. Our hearts are with everyone impacted — with families, friends, teammates, and all those carrying the weight of these events.
This week, every Kawartha Fury game has begun with a moment of silence to honour all lives affected. But as we move forward, we also wanted to come together.
We want to remember Eric for the life he lived — his kindness, his passion, his teammates, and the joy he found on the floor with a stick in his hands. Lacrosse was a place where Eric belonged, where he connected, competed, laughed, and shared his love of the game.
Eric was a new member of the Kawartha Fury family, joining us after playing with the Peterborough Lakers community. Although his time with us was far too short, he made an impact, and he will always be part of our family.
To ensure there is room for everyone who wishes to come together and show their support, our Friday, June 12th U22 game has been moved to:
📍 Healthy Planet Arena — Peterborough
We are calling on our entire lacrosse community — Fury players, Lakers players, coaches, families, alumni, friends, and supporters — to join us.
Come not just to watch a game, but to stand together. To support Eric’s family, his friends, his teammates, and one another.
Bring your Fury gear. Bring your Lakers gear. Bring your memories, your stories, and your support.
Because the medicine game has always been bigger than the scoreboard.
It brings people together.
It creates connection.
It helps us carry one another through the hardest moments.
Let’s come together as a lacrosse family and show the power of community, compassion, and the game Eric loved.
