Dear friends, we wish to advise that Tamara and I have made the extremely difficult decision not to operate in 2020 due to Covid. A combination of border closures / travel restrictions and concerns about ensuring guest and staff safety have all been contributors. We apologise for any disappointment or inconvenience this represents to would-be rafters. We hope you will join us in looking ahead to a full and vital recovery full of of fun and adventure in 2021. ...and now for some good news. Sharp-eyed spotters are reporting 13 Mountain goats on the Lardeau bluffs with 3 and possibly 4 of this year kids!

It's been a busy week around the Rafting Centre. Social distancing completey ignored! Someone's just had their nails done. This is a bit of a bruiser of a griz.

We may be temporarily closed due to Covid -19 (please check our website or previous FB posts for details), but that doesn't stop the locals busting out of lock down and checking in on us! The garden that produces much of the contents of the rafting lunches lies just 20m away. Coincidence? Lil' Griz....

Hi everyone!

In an effort to provide some clarity (and hopefully a positive perspective) on the upcoming 2020 rafting season, we would like to inform all guests and would-be back country explorers of our plans for this year.

In order to meet our social and professional obligations and do our part to help reduce the spread of COVID-19, we will be CANCELLING our Spring season. Any trips already booked in this period (May 1- June 26) will receive a full refund or have the option to reschedule.

We aim to OPEN from Saturday, June 27th and operate through our SUMMER & FALL seasons (ending September 30th). Clearly this is subject to change and we will endeavour to provide complete and up to date information should circumstances change. We are now taking bookings for this period and Early Bird Rates still apply.

In this time of uncertainty and rapid change, we recommend guests have satisfactory insurance should they be forced to cancel a tour within our 14 day cancellation period. Should we cancel for any reason, a full refund is provided.

We appreciate the challenges so many are facing at this time and are conscious of our responsibilities as adventurers, business owners and community members while still planning for a season of hope, fun and to experience the best of 2020!

Thank you to everyone for helping us seal the 2019 season with another award from Kootenay Business (our first Platinum!!). We have put the rafts away for winter - albeit reluctantly - and are looking forward to hitting the river in 2020. Give us a call if you wish to book a rafting adventure for next year or are looking for that special Christmas gift with a Lardeau River Adventures Gift Certificate!

The Kokanee are running in the Lardeau! Join us on our Red Fish Special and enjoy a unique perspective of this amazing event.
