Introducing our next board member feature, Andrea Hand! A Kaslo, Canadian local who’s broke a world record this year in Logger Sports amongst an International stage in Ladies Underhand Chop. She’s a powerhouse of determination who deeply cares for her community.

For years Andrea has helped make KCFC a fantastic local gym - where all are welcome. She’s an example of someone who grew up in the small town of Kaslo, who’s brought her success to an international level. It goes to show anything can be possible when you put your mind to it!

👶💪 Big news for parents at Kaslo Community Fitness Co-op! We now have a designated playpen area so you can get your workout in while your little one (ages 0–2) plays safely nearby. Because self-care and parenthood *can* go hand in hand! 💚

Ty wasn’t just a part of our gym community. He helped build it. As our very first member, Ty holds gym fob #1. His fob, along with his photo, remains proudly displayed in our gym. As a daily reminder of his Spirit, strength, and love he brought to all of us. ❤️🫶

Q: What exercise movements make you feel the strongest - I feel strongest on back day 💪

Q: What advice would you give someone wanting to join the gym? - Just start, whether it’s you going for 10 minutes or an hour, getting there is the hardest part.

Q: What exercise would you like to personally improve on? I would like to work on my pull ups!
