ππ Season of Heart. ππ
The Knightsβ playoff run came to an end this morning with a hard-fought 2β1 semi-final loss to Kelowna.
It was a true battle from start to finish. Every puck was contested. Every shift mattered. The boys left everything they had on the ice.
Brayden Shuert found the back of the net for the Knights in the second period, with Austen Calvert picking up the assist, giving our group life in a tight defensive game. From there, it was grit, heart, and push until the final buzzer.
While this one stings, it does not define this team.
This season was about growth, about teammates becoming friends, about learning to compete through adversity, about rising to moments that once felt big and making them feel earned. It was about early mornings, long road trips, practices, laughter in the dressing room, and believing in each other.
To our coaches, thank you for your time, leadership, and commitment to helping these players grow not just as athletes, but as young men.
To our parents and families, thank you for the countless drives, hotel nights, early wake-ups, and unwavering support in the stands. None of this happens without you.
And to our players, thank you for the heart you showed all season long. You represented North Okanagan with pride.
The scoreboard may say 2β1, but this season was so much bigger than one game.
Proud of this group! π
