A BC Canada outfitter wrote a couple days ago about a stone sheep opportunity they have august 29th to sept 10th, 2022. Their client has to postpone their 2022 hunt due to a sick family member. DM me for their email or phone. Here is one of the first two rams of 2022. Its a backpack hunt with 2 guides per hunter. Goat, caribou or moose can be added on trophy fee. Outfitter has their own planes and can easily move hunter if needed.

Azerbaijan tur hunting is still not open. Russia offers all three tour species and is open to hunting. It is possible to get a visa, fly through Istanbul and then to the caucus region. Hunters cam borrow a rifle and ammo there and go hunting this fall or next.

Spain has some great free range stag hunting a few hours north of madrid. This hunt is priced flat rate, with no trophy fees on bigger animals. Hunt dates are sept and early oct. This hunt can be quite physical so its perfectly suited to elk and sheep hunters. Chamois can be found in the same region and they make a great, affordable combo when added to the stag. A giant and old, high scoring gredos ibex our client took in spain, dec 2019 before covid. The ibex was shot at under 30 yards, during rain amd fog. The hunter, Rusty Flowers, combined this animal with a becite, which is a combo we highly recommend. These are the two biggest of the 4 ibex species in spain. Spain just dropped it's vaccine requirements also. These are low stress, high success and "fun" hunts.

Here is a big gold medal becite ibex one of our clients took in Spain, December 2019, a few months before Covid hit. Our Spanish partner informed us this week that the vaccine mandate has been lifted, so non-vax hunters can now hunt spain again. Hunts we most recommend here are: 2 ibex combos; chamois/mouflon combo and a stag combo with another animal. Spain is a great place to bring kids or your spouse as its safe and comfortable. With spring in full swing and summer heat rapidly approaching, its training season for your upcoming mountain hunts. Here are the two styles of custom footbeds/orthotics i listed in our bio from Doctors Orthotics. At about $400 usd for 2 sets, they are an essential investment for foot and joint health. Or call them at: 1-888-353-7834. Most good hunting boots are $350 to 600 and last only a couple seasons. These insoles will last many years; i am still wearing my originals from over 15 years ago. At the peak of my backpack guiding career, i would destroy 1 to 2 pairs of boots per season yet those original insoles are still working well and i haven't had Planters Fasciitis in years. The factory insoles which come in most footware are not providing arch support; replacing them with a set of Custom Orthotics will help prevent chronic foot pain and also can help alleviate knee and back issues also.

The black insole on the right is made with carbon and is a bit thicker and more rigid; it works well in a hiking or work boot such as this old Lowa or a Kenetrek style boot. It provides amazing ankle support and is a low volume fit. Unfortunately I haven't seen this model for years. I still wear it for training or hunting in warmer/dry conditions.

The insole on the left is the standard model from Doctors Orthotics and it works well in a boot, running shoe or casual footware. The boot on the left is a Jim Green from South Africa; it's non insulated and without a membrane, so its great for desert hunts and dry conditions and for less steep terrain like African plains game or desert mule deer and coues deer hunting. I was first acquainted with Doctor’s Orthotics over 15 years ago, when I was outfitting full time in Canada and doing 6 plus backpack hunts each year. For years I had suffered from Chronic Planters Fasciitis and had several Custom orthotics from different Podiatrists. I reached out to the owner of Doctors Orthotics and he got me set up with 2 custom insoles which I still wear today (15 years). I wear them 95% of the time, switching them between my sport, casual shoes and hiking boots. In 2020, I ordered 2 more sets with some new technology (one of them is the lightweight carbon fiber and the other is the camo hunting with reinforced arch). See tje link in our bio. These insoles have been game changers for me over the years; the orthotics are to my feet what a custom saddle is to a cowboy or a sports bra is to a female athlete. Not only did these insoles alleviate my Chronic Planters Fasciitis, but they help with foot stability, lower back issues and all around comfort/support. Another 13 inch tahr with sam caley in nz. Alex took this big tahr in 2019 before covid hit. Sam is a great hunter and fun host. Alex added a fallow and stag to his tahr hunt. Sam has a couple openings this spring/summer due to clients moving dates to 2023 or 2024.

We finally recovered our Instagram account a couple days ago. A few hunters had inquired about one of the tajik wild boar posts, but these inquiries were deleted by the hackers. Please write us again. May is a good month to hunt for wild boar in tajikistan. It's a mountain hunt and requires hiking.

Yesterday our asianmountainoutfitters IG account got hacked, so please don't respond to anyone pretending to be amo. I got it fixed last night, for about an hour, changed all passwords, set up 2 step verification, fixed the changes the hackers made etc and they still got access. I can't call IG and it takes a day for them to reply so thanks for everyone's patience during this time. A hacker had breached the account of a taxidermist i know and was impersonating him. He asked me to vote for him on a link he sent and without thinking, i clicked on it and it gave them access about 12 hours later. They changed the account name, changed the sign in and posted crypto crap. Never open any links from anyone which reads like this: Tap to access your Instagram account: https://ig.me/1NF.....etc. Std data rates may apply..." i have never opened them before and there is good reason. Also, i recommend a very strong password, and two step verification for all email and social media accounts.
