Exciting news! We are hosting a FREE Sledge Hockey Camp on September 29th, 2023 at McArthur Island Sports Center.

Join us on the ice for a fun day of Para Hockey! Whether this is your first time playing the sport or you are gearing up for the season, this event is open to all ages (6+), experience levels and abilities. Participants are welcome to sign up for one, two or all three ice sessions. All Para Hockey equipment can be provided.

PARA ICE HOCKEY (Sledge hockey)

September 29th: Kamloops Community Event

In Partnership with our friends at PacificSport Interior, we welcome members of the Kamloops and surrounding communities to come out and play para hockey whether it is for your first time or to skate off the rust from the summer. Try it, skill development sessions and a pick up scrimmage game will be offered between 2:30pm – 6:15pm. Keep your eyes out for registration and more information, coming soon. A Kelowna stop will also be included in that weekend if a timeslot is available with a similar focus for the community.

Unfortunately, there will be no program this Saturday February 18th as Kamloops Storm team is on a playoff run. There will also be no program on March 4th.

Everyone will be getting a credit for both of these days on their accounts.

City staff mentioned that the time changes have been happening to all the user groups and with more programs running post Covid lockdown they are finding this issue is happening more frequent.

Practise on February 3rd has been cancelled due to a Special Olympics event.

Scheduling said they would try to rebook for a different time/day, but if not able to then everyone should get a refund for the one class at the end of the program

There has been some changes to ice time for the adult program due to conflict with Kamloops Storm game days.

We have two sledge hockey programs starting up this week. The adult program runs Saturdays from 5:30pm-6:30pm, and the youth program runs Sunday's from 11:30am-12:30pm. Make sure you get your registration in!

The final day of practise on December 17th, 2022 has been cancelled due to the KIBIHT hockey tournament and ice scheduling conflict.
