That goes for all watercraft and equipment!

Dry your boat before visiting another water body. This step helps protect all our waters.

☀️ Leave boats and gear in direct sunlight when possible
👕 Dry clothing on high heat
⏱️ Wait at least 48 hours before entering a different lake or river
📆 Wait a minimum of 30 days if you are travelling here from outside Alberta, British Columbia or the Canadian territories

So, you've cleaned and drained your watercraft. Now, you're wondering how long you need to let it dry...☀️🛶

✔️ Dry for 48 hours if last used in Alberta, B.C. or the territories.
When moving from one lake or river to another within 48 hours, you’ll need to plan ahead and use separate gear in each water body.

✔️ Dry for 30 days if last used in other provinces or the U.S.
If you’re travelling to Jasper from outside Alberta, British Columbia or the Canadian territories, consider renting gear in Jasper or fishing with a local guide.
