Bronze medalists!!!!

🥉 BRONZE MEDALISTS – U16A TEAM ONTARIO

What an incredible weekend at the Eastern Canadian Ringette Championships for our U16A Team Ontario! 🤍❤️🖤

The team battled through a competitive field of eastern provinces, finishing with a well-earned bronze medal and a performance to be proud of.

Game 1 vs New Brunswick (3-3 tie)
Ontario opened the tournament with a hard-fought tie, trading goals throughout the game. Strong defensive play and timely saves kept things even, while the offence capitalized on key opportunities with the ring to secure the point.

Game 2 vs Ontario 2 (3-2 win)
A tight, high-energy matchup saw Ontario edge out Ontario 2. The team showed resilience, responding quickly to pressure and holding onto a narrow lead with disciplined defensive play in the final minutes.

Game 3 vs Prince Edward Island (7-1 win)
Ontario found their rhythm offensively, controlling the pace from start to finish. Balanced scoring and strong ring movement led to a dominant win, backed by solid goaltending.

Game 4 vs Nova Scotia (7-1 win)
Another commanding performance saw Ontario continue their momentum. The team came out strong, building an early lead and maintaining control with consistent pressure and teamwork.

Game 5 vs Quebec (5-6 loss)
A back-and-forth battle that came down to the wire. Ontario pushed hard until the final buzzer in a high-scoring, fast-paced game, showing grit and determination despite the narrow loss.

Semi-Final / Bronze Game vs New Brunswick (4-1 loss)
Ontario faced New Brunswick once again in a hard-fought semi-final/bronze medal matchup. The game was physical and fast-paced from the opening shift, with Ontario generating several strong scoring chances and battling hard in all zones. Despite strong goaltending and defensive efforts to keep the game within reach, New Brunswick was able to capitalize on key opportunities and build an early lead. Ontario continued to push throughout the game, showing resilience, effort, and determination until the final buzzer, ultimately coming up short but securing a well-earned bronze medal finish.

This tournament was more than just results—it was an incredible experience filled with growth, teamwork, and unforgettable memories.

Our entire association is so proud of these 3 players - Representing themselves, our town, and our club at the Eastern Canadian Ringette Championships in Mississauga from April 16-19.

Good luck to the entire U16 A Team Ontario team, and please join us in wishing a very special good luck to Annabelle, Audrey, and Peyton!!! We are all cheering you on!

Emerly started in 2012 - a 14 year long career that ended with a Bronze in Tier 2 at the provincial championships!

As our season comes to and end, we want to take a moment to recognize and thank our graduating players! Years of hard work (and fun!) have gone into these ringette careers with IFR!

First up - Catherine Morin. She started playing in 2014 at the age of 7. Congratulations and good luck on your next adventure !
