The PSE Program provides supplementary funding to Nunavut Inuit enrolled in post-secondary degree programs, including specialized courses. This is tailored specifically for Nunavut Inuit who are enrolled in, or wish to pursue, post-secondary education programs. It includes not just recent high school graduates but also mature students or those seeking to upgrade or shift their educational qualifications. Eligible applicants must already be receiving some funding and demonstrate a need for additional support. Funding can cover tuition, books, living costs, childcare, travel, and academic supports. The Quvvariarniq Individual Program provides funding to support Nunavut Inuit individuals seeking support to pursue non-degree education programs, specialized training opportunities, mentorships, and internships to gain employment in relevant fields.
This could include, but not limited to;
specialty sports schools,
trades,
certificate,
or diploma programs.
A Nunavut Inuk is eligible to apply for sponsorship if they are:
Enrolled in a non-degree education or training program;
Accessing other funding, such as Financial Assistance for Nunavut Students (FANS) and Regional Inuit Association financial aid;
