Lake Windermere Rowing Club A friendly recreational rowing club based in Invermere on the shores of Lake Windermere, BC, Canada. Regular club outings during the summer months.

The Lake Windermere Rowing Club is a based at Kinsmen Beach in Invermere. We have a small membership with the focus on recreational rowing. The club has a healthy boat stock of quads, doubles and singles (including some adaptive equipment), which are available for use by our members. The organised club outings occur between the months of May and September, with keen rowers active when the lake is not frozen and the lake is calm.

We're nearing the start of the 2025 rowing season! Returning rowers, you can pay your dues now and we'll add you to Team Snap so you can start rowing as soon as we get organized.
If you're interested in learning to row this year, we will have TWO seasons: One in May, one in June / July. More information to come soon; stay tuned.

We have TWO opportunities available for learning to row open now! Running over four days, our learn-to-row program gets you safely started on sculling.
We have limited space in these programs, so sign up quickly.
Option 1: June 10, 11, 13 & 17
Option 2: July 15, 16, 18 & 22
Registration is $100. To continue rowing with the club the remainder of the season after your LTR session, you can pay the remaining $100 for club membership and join our group on the water!

Each morning the clubs heads out from Kinsmen Beach along side the west shore. The odd time we head over to Chabot. We tend to stay pretty close to shore.

We have noticed more ski boats in the morning hunting the calm waters, we don’t blame you! Please keep an eye out for us as we are low to the water and can be hard to see. We do wear bright colours to help that.

If you see us, we would really appreciate if another part of the lake worked for you. Any wake makes rowing difficult in our tippy boats. Hence why we are out before the sun.
