BALLFEST is a fun-first Slo-Pitch softball tournament taking place July 24-26, 2020 in beautiful Invermere, British Columbia.

BALLFEST

Welcome and Welcome Back! BALLFEST takes place at the beautiful Crossroads Diamonds in Invermere BC. BALLFEST is a Fun-First tournament featuring:
-> Two Fun Divisions (descriptions below) with Cash Prizes
-> Home Run Derby and Team Relay,
-> Licensed Concession and Beverage Garden (Reminder: No Outside Alcohol)
-> Great Teams and Great Times. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, BALLFEST

will not run in 2021. BALLFEST is proud to partner with the Lake Windermere District Lions Club to put on the tournament. The Lions and Regional District of East Kootenay have been working on Ball Diamond improvements. In addition, proceeds from BALLFEST will benefit Windermere Valley Minor Sports. This will include Minor Hockey, Baseball, and Soccer Organizations as well as the Invermere Skate Park.

Hello Friends! I have a couple of updates

1) Tournament planning is well underway. The Lions are back and roaring to go! (seewhatididthere)

2) Unfortunately due to a wedding in my family, I will not be able to participate in BALLFEST this year. It breaks my heart a little, but I will no longer be coordinating BALLFEST. However, I am very confident that the tournament is in good hands, and will run very smoothly.

When I took over the organization of BALLFEST in 2013, it was my goal that BALLFEST would become a sustainable event for a long time, with or without me. We have always had incredible teams and captains to help things go well, and our partnership with the Lions over the last several years has helped to build that foundation, and I am so grateful to all of you for your support and excitement over the years. Thank you, my friends!

I can't wait to come back next year and lead Pitch Blease to a championship! You've been warned!

Dear Friends:

After much deliberation, the Lions Club and I have decided to postpone BALLFEST to 2022. Obviously this is due to the ongoing pandemic. Western Canada is so close to being ready, but at this point it doesn’t look like we’ll be able to run our tournament and host teams in our famous BALLFEST way.

I have been blown away over the last year-plus by all of the support we’ve received from teams and captains. Special thanks to everyone who completed our pre-tournament survey (over 50 of you!). I know this is disappointing, but we will see you next July for the best BALLFEST yet. I hope that wherever you are, you can find some place to play some ball this year.

Hello Friends! Fraser here.

I met with the Lions Club this week to discuss options for this year. At this point we have no idea if we will be able to run BALLFEST for 2021.

If the world stays as it is right now, with cases and restrictions as they are, we will not be able to hold a tournament. Hopefully with more vaccines and continued good behaviour, things will shift over the coming months enough that we can get together.

I hope that wherever you are, you are doing well.
Unfortunately, due to everything going on in the world, we have made the very sad decision to postpone this year's tournament indefinitely.

On behalf of the Lions, I want to thank everyone for their continued support and we hope to see you back at Crossroads as soon as we can make it work.
