I have not posted for quite awhile on Facebook. We are having a fantastic time at Yujo. We are fortunate to have the best students Instructors could ask for. We welcome anyone to come out and try our classes. We have something for everyone.

“People always asked "Why do you pay so much money for your kid to do sports”? Well I have a confession to make; I don't pay for my kid to to do sports. Personally, I couldn't care less about what sport she does.
So, if I am not paying for sports what am I paying for?
- I pay for those moments when my kid becomes so tired she wants to quit but doesn’t.

- I pay for those days when my kid comes home from school and is “too tired" to go to her training but she goes anyway.

- I pay for my kid to learn to be disciplined, focused and dedicated.

- I pay for my kid to learn to take care of her body and learn how to correctly fuel her body for success.

- I pay for my kid to learn to work with others and to be a good team mate, gracious in defeat and humble in success.

- I pay for my kid to learn to deal with disappointment, when they don’t get that placing or title they'd hoped for, but still they go back week after week giving it their best shot.

- I pay for my kid to learn to make and accomplish goals.

- I pay for my kid to respect, not only themselves, but others, officials, judges and coaches.

- I pay for my kid to learn that it takes hours and hours, years and years of hard work and practice to create a champion and that success does not happen overnight.

- I pay for my kid to be proud of small achievements, and to work towards long term goals.

- I pay for the opportunity my child has and will have to make life-long friendships, create lifelong memories, to be as proud of her achievements as I am.

- I pay so that my child can be in the gym instead of in front of a screen...

- I pay for those rides home where we make precious memories talking about practice, both good and bad.

-I pay so that my child can learn the importance of time management and balancing what is important like school and keeping grades up
..I could go on but, to be short, I don't pay for sports; I pay for the opportunities that sports provides my kid with to develop attributes that will serve her well throughout her life and give her the opportunity to bless the lives of others. From what I have seen so far I think it is a great investment!”

Hello Yujo Community,

We are happy to announce that the new mats have arrived today, as such we still need to sort, organize and hopefully lay them out over today and tomorrow. As a result we will need to cancel this evenings classes (Monday Oct 30th) in order to achieve this. We hope everyone understands and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Luckily when you get back we should have fresh new mats to train on.

Just a reminder that there are also no classes running tomorrow (Tuesday Oct 31st) for Halloween. We hope everyone has a great time and stays warm and safe.

The Ninja and Samurai classes will be held upstairs at the stroud Arena at their regular times.
Ninja 4:50pm
Samurai 6:15pm
We will not be able to run the parkour, or Jiu-Jitsu classes as we have no mats. I apologize for this being so late, our computer is no longer working to send e-mails.

Everyone welcome,

Next Tuesday June 20th Yujo Martial Arts will be presenting a Kidz Safe Self Defense System Seminar. Your children are invited to attend for their age groups. Ages 4 to 8 is 4:50pm until 5:50pm, and ages 9 to 16 is 6:15pm until 7:15pm. All regular class will be cancelled that day for the seminar.

This is an open event, and you are welcome to invite anyone who you think would like to attend. If you are not a student of Yujo Martial Arts, we ask you to RSVP so that we have an approximate idea of how many people to expect.

Greeting Yujo Community,
We were so happy to see so many of you come to the Halloween Festival on Friday, October 28th! Thank you all for your attendance and participation. We truly had a blast seeing all the families in their costumes. We also would like to thank the volunteers who came to help run the booths. We are very appreciative of our leadership team and all they do.

As for the Pumpkin Carving Contest, it was a close competition this year! Thank you to all the kids who entered a Pumpkin! We had a lot of fantastic entries. However, when it came to counting the votes, it was clear who had won.

For first place, we have Romeo!

For third place we have Elijah!

Congratulations winners, please go to the office to claim your prizes.

Congratulations to the winners of this years gingerbread house competition! Thank you to everybody who participated, you all did an amazing job. For that reason we have decided that everyone who participated will get a prize! Happy holidays from our family to yours. ❄️🎄☃️
