Wow what a wild night at sunset! From watching a fellow Peterborough driver roll down the back stretch 7 times to finishing inside the top 10! We unloaded the car, and made it out for practice unsure if we had the right setup in it left over from Peterborough. We missed 2nd practice after realizing the starter was dead, we would have to bump start it the rest of the night! Started out in heat 1 and 2 laps in our coil wire came apart and the car just died going down the back stretch. Go it fixed easily for the feature! We started dead last for the feature and it was probably a good thing, we stayed out of some early wrecks and incidents, and with each caution coming out we picked up some spots each time. We had our fastest lap times during our longest caution free run, and on the next restart we found our selves sitting in 10th right behind some of the fastest in the province! We got caught up in an incident on the front stretch with no where to go, on the restart with 3 laps to go we ended up sending the car as hard as we could and we managed to pull home a 8th place finish for our first trip to sunset! We're very happy with those results as between all our practices heats and feature we probably only turned 30 laps yesterday!
