The Canadian Jr Womens faced a strong team from Mexico. With a feisty team and a solid goaltender, the Canucks had a tough battle. Team Canada completely outshot and controlled most of the game. That being said, Mexico got on the scoreboard first. Finally, after hitting some posts and having a hard time beating the Mexican goalie, Canada was able to get a goal late in the game to tie it up. The final score was 1-1.

The gals now play a very talented Team from Spain tomorrow @ 12:30pm local time and Great Britain @ 7pm.

Canada's Men's Team find themselves right where they need to be. Playing in a cross over game as the top seed in their pool, they faced Great Britain - a country with a long history of quality inline hockey. Canada came out hard from the start, netting a few quick goals and maintained pressure until the end of the game. Both Canadian goalies were able to get into the game and share the shut out as the Canucks won 8-0. Canada now advances to the top pool and will play host country, Italy tomorrow in the quarter finals.
