The St John’s Rod and Gun Club is having a 75 Round Sporting Clay shoot

on Sunday 178th October, 2026. The day will include a 75 target sporting clays course (75 in the morning followed by lunch). There will be a prize for

top three shooters decided by Lewis Class.

Cost: $30 OR 3 shoot card punches + $10 for lunch (Juniors 1⁄2 price for targets)

EVENT SCHEDULE

Registration and Squading: 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM

Morning: 75 Sporting Clays (10:30 AM sh***un start)

Lunch: After completion of morning shoot

Please note:

Participants are asked to pre-register please email [email protected]. This

will help the club plan for lunch, etc.

Shooters must provide their own guns, ammo (size #7.5 shot or smaller is permitted) and

eye/ear protection.

Guests of members must be a Canadian resident and pay a $5 fee for guest insurance.

Check the club website on the day of shoot in the event of inclement weather.

The St. John's Rod and Gun Club was proud to host the very first IPSC Mini R***e Provincials in Newfoundland in collaboration with IPSCNL!

Despite the weather doing its best to make things miserable on Saturday, 11 shooters still came out to compete, representing a great mix of ages, experience levels, and backgrounds.

From newer shooters getting their first taste of competition to experienced competitors pushing for every point, it was a fantastic two days on the range. Everyone came ready to compete, learn, help one another, and enjoy the sport, which made the event a success from start to finish.

A huge thank you to everyone who competed, and a massive shout out and thanks to all those who helped with setup and teardown, including the numerous volunteers who came out and sacrificed their days and evenings in the weeks running up to the match to assist with building and repairing props. We are so beyond thankful for your help!

And finally, one special shoutout to our very own Evan Kearley who designed and setup all the stages for this match and directed the building process in the lead up to the match. It was a fantastic shoot, and he should be proud of hosting!

We're happy to announce the successful completion of another two Black Badge courses hosted here at the St. John's Rod & Gun Club!

These courses welcome 9 handgun shooters and 5 mini r***e shooters into the IPSC community!

It was a great weekend! As with every Black Badge, there was plenty of knowledge transfer, training drills, learning, fun and laughter to be had.

A huge thank you to the participants and to IPSC NL for running another great course.

This will include the sporting clays portion qualifier towards the Elliot Leyton High Gun Trap and Sporting Clays Award (combined score from the separate trap and sporting clays memorial shoot events).
