I just want to say this, when you are learning a new line dance and you are stumbling on a move, the timing, or the direction of the turn and a dance friend (or dance friend to be) comes alongside you and points to where you should go, or whispers the next move or says, “you got this”, it can make all the difference in the world.
And it literally bonds you to them, because their kindness helped you to do something…not necessarily life changing but also maybe life changing. It can restore your faith in humanity, it can remind you of the kindness of others and it can help you to stay the course. This is why line dance is one of the those recreational activities that creates life long friends.
To all my new line dance friends, that have encouraged me and whispered the next dance more or direction, thank you…thank you. You are more important to me than you know.
