327 to 290 lbs in 2.5 months—this marks a big milestone in my 3-month weight cut. Losing 37 lbs wasn’t easy, but it was achievable through an aggressive calorie deficit of 1500-1600 calories per day, about 1000 calories below maintenance. I chose this approach because I prefer shorter, more focused dieting phases.

Let me clarify: this weight loss didn’t come from weekly ab workouts, circuits, or by making excuses. It came from proper nutrition (mostly whole foods) and effective workout selection. I prioritize evidence-based methods—no fluff exercises like an Arnold press or just using bands in my programs. My own results, and those of my brother Ryder Stead, are proof of what works. In just 5 months, Ryder has transformed noticeably, even hitting a 225-lb bench press—a milestone many take a year to reach. His success came from following my structured plans and applying his hard work and dedication.

If you’re thinking about starting your journey, know it’s worth it. I’m here to be the guide I wish I had at my lowest point.

A little bit late on this but this from 327lbs to now being down to 299lbs. Took a month off with a newborn, eating bad and making excuses, but on October 10th, I decided enough was enough and that I wanna be healthier for my family. In one month (October 10th to November 10th), I’m down 28lbs again and I’m not stopping here—I’m going to keep pushing for more.

I’ve been following my own nutrition and workout plans, and the results speak for themselves. I’m proof that with consistency, discipline, and the right knowledge, anything is possible. I know as a trainer my body can be a testament to others that what I do works, that the services I provide can be exactly what you need to achieve your dream body and health

As always the first thing I commend is God and his power and all the blessings he’s given me and my life. I look at my beautiful girlfriend and our angelic little baby girl everyday and know that god is right there alongside me, blessing and rewarding me for following the path of Christ

Isaiah 41:10
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

335 - 305lbs in a month and half of a cut focusing on a strong calorie deficit with my own custom built meal plan and my own programmed resistance training regime

A huge improvement I’ve found during this cut is focusing on My relationship with God, understanding my place in the lords world and the power, wisdom and strength he provides us everyday. I would have days during cardio that it honestly felt like the lords power was washing over me, removing negativity and providing me the discipline to achieve my goals, it began to feel effortless.

I would advise anyone to look into the law of attraction and understand that positive thoughts and envisioning the future you want in life will allow the lord and the universe to make that way open for you. When you focus on being in a positive state in mind and body allows nothing but the ability to push forward

Psalm 118:11-14:

They surrounded me on every side, but in the name of the Lord I cut them down.

They swarmed around me like bees, but they were consumed as quickly as burning thorns
in the name of the Lord I cut them down.
I was pushed back and about to fall, but the Lord helped me.

The Lord is my strength and my defence he has become my salvation

I see a lot of people even still using the arnold press when it’s been shown in multiple studies that the rotation barely has an effect and instead harms the isolation of your delts. I would advise anyone to stick to the conventional shoulder press instead

HI My name is Tyson Stead. I'm 23 years old and a soon-to-be father. I want to share my fitness journey and explain why I became a fitness trainer.

My journey began out of necessity, following a long battle with depression triggered by a car accident six years ago that left me with brain damage. The accident drastically affected my life, leading to severe body image issues and deep-seated insecurities. My self-esteem hit rock bottom, and I spiraled into a dark place. The turning point came when I ended up on su***de watch. That experience was a wake-up call, and I promised myself that I would leave that version of myself behind and embark on a journey to become a better, healthier, and happier person. The road to fitness was far from smooth. I faced numerous challenges, including crash dieting, weight plateaus, and improper training techniques. I also dealt with cardio-based lifting and bootcamps that produced short-term fat loss but led to harsher weight gain afterward. These setbacks were incredibly frustrating, but they taught me valuable lessons about persistence and the importance of proper guidance. Through my fitness journey, I not only transformed my body but also improved my mental health. I haven't suffered from depression in years, and the positive impact on my mental well-being has been profound.

Despite the difficulties, I achieved several milestones that I’m incredibly proud of. I lost 90 pounds and transformed my physique into a muscular one. Additionally, I became a 2-time bench press record holder at the gym I now manage. I've also been able to achieve a bench press over 340 lbs, a squat over 250 lbs, and a deadlift over 405 lbs. These achievements are testaments to the power of dedication and hard work.

My transformation ignited a passion for fitness and wellness that I wanted to share with others. I decided to become a fitness trainer to help people embark on their own fitness journeys. I aim to provide accurate information on working out and nutrition—knowledge that took me years to learn. My goal is to support others by creating personalized meal plans, tailored workout programs, and offering in-person training sessions.
As a soon-to-be father, I've had to learn to manage my fitness routine while being there for my girlfriend. This taught me how to keep my workouts intense without having to superset everything or take shorter rest times. I've learned how to make my workouts efficient and beneficial to my gains without taking up too much time in the day.

I firmly believe that a trainer's physique should demonstrate the quality of the services they offer. After all, you wouldn’t hire a financial advisor who’s never managed money successfully. Similarly, I find it disingenuous for trainers to preach fitness while having more fat than muscle themselves. My body is a testament to the effective fitness strategies and nutrition plans I advocate. I practice what I preach, and my transformation is proof that my methods work.
I want to be different from other trainers, I'm not here to sell stretches or joint work as muscle-building workouts. I provide techniques and workouts that have been proven through study and they are workouts I actually do myself. Instead of gimmicky exercises, I focus on having clients press actual weights to build real muscle with proper form. The fitness industry can often be a place of deception and greed, but I strive to stand out by offering genuine, effective fitness solutions.

As a result of my journey, I started TYTAN Training, my own startup personal training brand. I'm very proud of it and excited to grow and help people achieve better mental wellness and their dream physiques. There's nothing more rewarding than seeing someone transform and gain confidence through fitness. I’m dedicated to being a source of support, motivation, and reliable information for everyone who steps into my gym.
