The weather is cooling, but the weekends are still busy! Congrats to Marc Parent on his glider solo this weekend!

What a weekend! Friday, Sunday and Monday were full days of flying. Saturday was a no-fly day, but we were busy with annual inspections instead. Monday, one of our pilots landed out at Pendleton, so we brought home the shared land-out plate from MSC, Gatineau Gliding Club - Pendleton Ontario and Rideau Valley Soaring , the traveling trophy that bounces between us whenever someone "comes to visit."
Guess it's ours till spring, we'll keep it warm over the winter. 😏🏆❄️

Quelle fin de semaine! Vendredi, dimanche et lundi ont été des journées de vol bien remplies. Samedi, journée sans vol, mais on en a profité pour faire des inspections annuelles. Lundi, un de nos pilotes a fait un atterrissage à Pendleton, alors on a ramené l'assiette qu'on se partage entre le CVVM, Gatineau Gliding Club et Rideau Valley Soaring, le trophée qui circule entre nous chaque fois que quelqu'un vient "visiter".
On dirait que c'est le notre jusqu'au printemps, on va la garder chaud tout l'hiver. 😏🏆❄️

The club was full of activities this past weekend. There were students flights, 6 intro flights, a few member flights, a first solo, a flight test, new instructor training, AND a Pizza Lunch on Saturday.

The club had busy operations on Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday this week. Unfortunately, the weather precluded any flights on the Sunday....

Excellent conditions on Friday resulted in many flights over 5 hours, with one flight just shy of the 8 hour mark!

Although the weather didn`t provide much opportunity for soaring on Saturday, it was busy with Intro flights (8!) and students. The two towplanes were in action most of the day with multiple members stepping in to keep the tows happening.

In spite of the weather cancelling activities on Saturday, the club was busy Friday and Sunday.

On Sunday, there were two flights before 11 am and 7 of the club`s gliders were in action throughout the day.
