Sept 18th – 27th – WAKO JR World Championships. We are proud and excited to have 3 athletes attending.
The WAKO Junior World Championship stands alone as the largest and most prestigious competitive global event for young athletes. While other world championships exist, nothing compares to the WAKO Junior Worlds — this is where the future of our sport is defined.
Each year, the Junior Worlds unite more than 3,000 elite athletes from over 80 countries, representing every continent and every corner of the globe. The standard is uncompromising and only the very best earn the right to stand on the world stage.

The 2025 Junior World Championships will take place in the breathtaking beach town of Jesolo, Italy, steps away from the historic city of Venice. Against this iconic backdrop, WAKO Canada has designed a comprehensive 9-month national preparation program to ensure our athletes arrive ready to perform, compete, and own the podium.

October 22-25th North American Century Cup – PANAM CENTER Markham Ont
The 2nd Annual North American Open Century Cup, proudly hosted by WAKO Canada.
Following the outstanding success of our inaugural event in 2025, WAKO Canada—working in close partnership with Century Martial Arts—continues its mission to deliver the largest, most prestigious WAKO International tournament in North America. The Century Cup is designed to unite athletes from around the world in a celebration of excellence, sportsmanship, and competitive spirit.
WAKO Canada tournaments are uniquely inclusive, offering high-level competition opportunities for athletes of all ages and experience levels, including:
• Ring Sport divisions beginning at age 10, with both Novice and Open categories • Kick Light and Light Contact disciplines starting at age 7 • Point divisions beginning at age 6 • Musical and Open divisions for competitors of all ages
Once again, the event will take place at the world-renowned PAN AM Centre in Markham, Ontario. Purpose-built for the Toronto 2018 Pan American Games, this exceptional venue features a full-size Olympic swimming pool, elite training facilities, and a competition space capable of hosting over 5,000 athletes and 3,000 spectators—providing a truly world-class tournament experience.

November 15th Halloween Howl
The Halloween Howl has always been the most popular tournament of Wako Canads’s Development Series competitions! WAKO Canada has decided to incorporate the 2026 Halloween Howl at the North American Championship!
There will only be Pre Novice (0-3 bouts/tournaments) and Novice (4-10 bouts/tournaments) divisions at the Halloween Howl. Participants wishing to enter the North American Kick Light divisions can also do so but these divisions are focused on Open Class participants.
WAKO Canada decided to incorporate the Halloween Howl as part of the North American Championship to allow our newer Kick Light competitors a chance to see elite level athletes and feel part of the incredible scope of WAKO.
We also know it is easier for clubs and coaches to come to one weekend event for all their athletes.
