You came through Learn to Play. You've outgrown beginner. Intermediate still feels like a lot.

Novice Open Play is that middle step. Six times a week. 🏓

Here's the thing about open play. You show up on your own, you get rotated in, you play with four or five different partners in a session. No scheduling a group. No hoping someone's free.

And that's how you actually get better. Different partners means different styles. Different opponents means new shots coming at you.

The original Pickleball rules framed in Sonoma County, where people were already playing in the 1970s.

Look at the middle of that court.

It doesn't say kitchen. It says PENALTY ZONE.

Same 20x44 court. Same 34 inch net. Games to 11, win by two, only the serving side scores. Double bounce rule is right there too.

Almost nothing changed, but we started calling it the kitchen along the way.
