I think this was an International Instructor Course in 1999 in Colorado. I have been failing at 'serious black belt face' this long.

Badass student is badass AND smart!

Congratulations to Natasha Crozier, a PhD in Theological Studies student at Wycliffe College, for receiving a Board of Trustees Margaret E. Fleck Scholarship for 2026-27!

This scholarship is awarded for academic excellence and was established in 2006 by the TST Board of Trustees in honour of the Reverend Margaret E. Fleck. The late Rev. Fleck was an Anglican priest and divinity graduate of Trinity College, and former member of the TST Board of Trustees. The award is funded by a gift from the Ralph M. Barford Foundation along with matching funds from the Ontario Trust for Student Support (OTSS).

When in doubt, the answer is to train. Just train.

"Train the old ways"

Train to learn, train for yourself, train to improve - Don't just train for the belt.

Nagamine Takayoshi Sensei once told us
"Your belt will not jump off you and protect you in a fight, Just Train"

Tournaments are a game. Seriously training however will hone your skills for actual combat.
