🥨 Is snacking helping—or quietly hurting—your fat loss?
Here’s the kicker: snacking can make you less hungry at meals…
…but not enough to cancel out the snack calories.
Average daily surplus = +239 cals (men) / +219 cals (women). Small number, big impact over time.
Before you ditch snacks altogether, add some intention:
First, find your “why”
Hunger: Build fuller meals (hello, protein + fiber) or start with a tall glass of water.
Stress: Add non-food coping tools—walk, breathwork, journaling, quick stretch.
Boredom: Swap “scroll + snack” for a 5-minute task, hobby, or fresh air.
Then, make smarter swaps
Chips → rice cakes + salsa
Candy → Greek yogurt + berries
Lattes → Americano with a splash of milk
Trail mix → air-popped popcorn
Cookies → cottage cheese + pineapple
Finally, set up your environment
Keep high-cal snacks out of sight (or out of the house).
Put high-protein, lower-cal options front and center.
Pre-portion snacks you do want to keep.
You don’t have to be “anti-snack”—just be pro-strategy.
