Matteo is a great example of that.

He first joined us last April as an intern while studying Kinesiology at McMaster University. It was a no brainer to hire Matteo out of the internship and over the past year, he’s quickly grown into a key teammate at ALP — it’s all been well earned!!

Daniel didn’t just show up at ALP with a résumé — he showed up with humility, hunger, and a genuine love for human performance.

From starting martial arts at 12 years old to pursuing his degree in Kinesiology, Daniel has always been a student of movement. But over the last few years, his growth has accelerated in a big way.

Last summer, Daniel worked side by side with Adam, helping train our Pro-Elite hockey athletes. He was a HUGE help 💯

He’s worked with:

Dealing with stiff hips and struggling with mobility? Fix it with this 3-exercise series used by top hockey players and elite performers worldwide.

Whether you’re hitting the ice, the gym, or the boardroom—your hips are non-negotiable. This simple, effective 3-exercise hip series has rescued countless hockey players, and it’s time it works for you.

Exercises:

1️⃣ Hip Rolls – Stay tall, roll the hip around, get that knee low without any knee pain. Loosen up your hip capsule, build control.

2️⃣ Seated Hip Range of Motion + Heel Taps – Activate those hip flexors from a lengthened position. Deep core, obliques, hip flexor… all coming online.

3️⃣ Hip Range of Motion Sweeps – External hip, adductors, groin, quads, calves + core integration. Game-changer for mobility and performance.

Tuesday 👉 Meet Danny 🚨 Today isn’t just another Tuesday — it’s a milestone. This week, what better way to kick off our 'Meet our coaches series' with celebrating Danny’s six-year work anniversary at ALP 🔥🔥 BIG congrats, and thank you Danny!!!

Six years of showing up. Six years of coaching with heart and purpose. Six years of helping people feel stronger, move better, and push past limits they once thought they had 💪

Danny didn’t start here as a coach with us — he started long ago as an athlete, and working at big box gyms. A coach and a competitor whose journey through powerlifting, fitness competitions, Ironmans, hockey, Fatherhood, and more gave him not just experience, but empathy.

When Danny and his wife Kim walked in as members in 2019, we saw someone who did more than train hard — he trained thoughtfully and intelligently, always seeking mastery over movement.

We saw our alignment, and Danny was hired almost immediately!

Before ALP, Danny spent nearly 15 years at one of Canada’s biggest fitness companies, Goodlife. And over the years, he's mastered what it means to coach with quality, consistency, and real results — not just noise. He learned what high-quality training looked like on the inside, what real coaching feels like from the client’s perspective, and he’s carried all of that wisdom into every session here.

What makes Danny exceptional isn’t just his technical knowledge — it’s the way he coaches the person, not just the program. He meets people where they are, challenges them to grow, and celebrates their wins like they’re his own.
