Aikido Yoshinkai Canada Aikido is a traditional Japanese martial art and form of self-defense that uses locks, holds, throws, and the opponent's own movements.

Aikido is a traditional Japanese martial art characterized by sweeping circular movements and techniques which require minimum strength. It is a highly developed discipline which integrates the mind and body in the development of self-confidence, peace of mind and physical skill. AYC's Chief Instructor, Kimeda Sensei (9th dan), has been teaching in Canada for 45 years. Classes are held at the Canadian Japanese Cultural Centre of Hamilton.
