Dalhousie Tigers With over 100 home varsity games each year, there are plenty of opportunities to get out and support the Tigers! Hope to see you at a game!

The Dalhousie Tigers consist of 14 men’s and women’s varsity teams in seven sports: basketball, cross country, hockey, soccer, swimming, track and field and volleyball. As a proud representative of Dalhousie University in Halifax, NS, each year the Tigers battle other Atlantic University Sport and Canadian Interuniversity Sport teams for league and national titles.

Congratulations to our first Athletes of the Week of the 2026-27 season! 🐯

Fourth-year striker Sally Steinberg opened her 2026-27 account, scoring the Tigers’ first goal in their home opener draw against the UNB Reds on Sunday. The Ancaster, ON, native now has eight career goals for the Tigers and will look to build on her strong performance when the Tigers host the Mount Allison Mounties this Friday.

First-year Commerce student and Halifax native Michael Allt made an immediate impact in his Tigers debut, scoring his first goal in Sunday’s home opener against the UNB Reds. Allt brought composure and confidence into the Tigers midfield, helping dictate transition opportunities on both ends of the pitch. Allt will look to carry this momentum into Friday, when the Tigers host the Mount Allision Mounties at Wickwire Field.

On Thursday, we mourned the loss of Judi Rice, a beloved Dalhousie Tiger and lifelong champion of athletics. To honour her legacy, the Judi Rice Women’s Athletics Memorial Fund has been established to support women’s varsity sport at Dalhousie University.

Judi was a distinguished student-athlete in both basketball and field hockey. Her dedication and support towards women in sport will always be cherished by the Dalhousie community. She exemplified what it means to be a Tiger, both during her time as a student-athlete and throughout her life as a devoted alumna.

The Judi Rice Women’s Athletics Memorial Fund will support the next generation of female varsity athletes at Dalhousie, creating a lasting legacy that reflects Judi’s passion, generosity, and unwavering commitment to women in sport.
