𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬.

Let me be completely honest in telling ya’ll this is actually something I say a LOT (Moms, who’s with me!?) but it’s not something I follow often 🙊.

Honestly I try to be SUPER polite at work - it’s people I’m comfortable with that I end up slipping up! My husband will usually scale my sassy self back, but otherwise I can quickly get out of control.

The WORST part of it is, I can be a downright as***le to MYSELF - and not correct the behaviour simply because it’s in my HEAD. If no one can hear it, then it’s okay to say it... right? ⛔️ WRONG!

If it’s not okay to say to someone else, it’s definitely not okay to say to yourself. Why do we assume that because we are looking out for ourselves that we deserve LESS than what we would give someone else?

Today I had one of those self-sabotaging moments. Where I talked to myself (and no one could hear me) and I just thought “well, it’s just me and my time so that’s fine.” But you know what? It’s not “fine”. My time means something too. Even if I struggle to relax... I really SHOULD.

Are you guilty of saying negative things to yourself? Maybe spending too much time.. living for others? It’s time to spend time on YOU.

#𝟏 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐠𝐨𝐚𝐥: 𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬

Not that it's ever been anything else... but isn't it so EXHILARATING to realize that all you truly want in life is a FEELING, not a material object?

I hear "I want..." all the time. A lot of the time that comes from my own household (cue 9 year old daughter). There are a few things we "want" that are our goals, something to strive towards, our hopes and dreams. These wants are important, they help us have focus and drive - they push us to keep going to obtain them.

We all have unnecessary wants, or imaginary wants as well. Things we think we may want, but not actually know we want. Things we see other people have, so maybe we think we should have them too.

But here is what truly gets me - at the end of the day, what it all boils down to - is HAPPINESS. We, as a society, as human beings, just want to be HAPPY. That's it.

Nope, this isn't a cutsie tattoo idea. This is the real deal. THIS is the place that can make or break you. Your mind, and the negative ongoings inside of it can and will cripple you - if you let them.

I actually have been chatting with some of my girls today and one thing I can't stress enough when you begin your journey is that you need to work on changing your mindset.

Not that I think there's something wrong with my - NOT AT ALL. They're AMAZING. But, I think we all have areas we can work on improving - mindset is the most COMMON one. This goes for me too! Luckily my husband keeps mine in check (when he knows about it).

Negative thoughts can spread like wildfire. What's worse is they tend to creep into all sorts of places you don't want them - especially when you have someone younger in the household looking up to you! You may not even notice who's listening.

Here are some positive practices that introduced into my daily life!

• Read personal development for atleast 20 minutes a day

• Practice positive affirmations

• Write daily gratitudes.

That's it! Those three simple steps, and I can guarantee you're going to see a world of difference.

You can workout everyday, and you may even see results. But if your negative self talk is getting in the way MAKE IT LEAVE. It has no place here. Let's do it together.

𝐒𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫!!

YOU are in control of your week ahead. Set your goals and intentions today, and prepare for tomorrow. Time change got you down? No worries - YOU'VE GOT THIS.

What will you push play on this week? We have TWO WEEKS before we head into the second round of this 9 week program, so the and I are pushing play on a bit of an "extension" if you will.

But what do you mean Tara? Well, the program you've been watching me do uses a piece of equipment called the "Control Track" this secures to either an outward swinging door or the wall... BUT the trainer recognizes that not everyone has the ability to do such.

SO, she designed a few extra workouts called "Off The Wall" that don't use the track! These are the workouts we are going to be pushing play on for the next two weeks.

𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐲 -> 𝐒𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐲

The internet is a fantastic place. It can bring wonderful connections, new friendships, never ending knowledge, all of the tools and resources you need to begin your healthy lifestyle and so much more.

It can also mislead you. That's not my intention. However, I think most people know that when they come across a health and fitness page - more than likely (but not always) the photos you are viewing are posed in the best angle, most flattering light, flexed muscles etc. My page is no different! After all, I worked to flex those muscles!

𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐢𝐬 𝐍𝐎𝐓 𝐚 𝐛𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐫. This is a now and now. Sitting to standing. Gravity naturally doing it's thing. My loose skin would have sent me to shame before, not I wear it proudly. I WORKED for this body, and it's there for me whether it's standing in a flexed position, or sitting in a relaxed one.

𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐩 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐭. If you're setting out to put your best efforts forward each day, be PROUD of yourself for that! We're all at different places in our lives. We all live different lives. So, why wouldn't our bodies be different?

𝐈𝐭'𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭.

I was taking some photos the other day when my hubs walked in and I said "come take a photo with me"! He laughed and complained, he hadn't showered yet and had just gotten home from work.

𝐈𝐭'𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭. Hubs is full of crack filler, my stomach isn't flexed, my hair is a mess. 𝐁𝐮𝐭 𝐢𝐭'𝐬 𝐔𝐒.

𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐩 𝐰𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 "𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭" 𝐦𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭. Memories don't only appear as good ones in perfect moments, they're in everyday life. Like this one.

And for the love of god... 𝐓𝐀𝐊𝐄 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎. Even if your hairs a mess, or your clothes are dirty or you're not at your "ideal weight". You'll look back on them one day, and be glad you did.
