I offer childbirth education, birth coaching, and support to parents during their infant's first year of life. Prior to becoming a doula, my background was in Psychology, mental health & addictions research, HR, mindfulness training, and, motherhood. I have always been fascinated by pregnancy & birth. Several things led me to realize that I was passionate about supporting people in their journey t

o parenthood: the births of my two children, my experience of two miscarriages, my experiences navigating the healthcare system, the stories I heard from others about their journeys to parenthood, and my personal experiences with anxiety. I am in the process of completing my certification with Doula Training Canada, and have been supporting clients since September 2022. I founded Driftwood Doula in November 2022. I want to support families in having a positive, empowering, and transformative journey to parenthood. I am an insightful communicator and I think deeply about things that are said to me. I am passionate about enabling my clients to feel heard and understood. I am organized, creative, candid, and proactive. Please reach out to me with any questions you have. You do not have to muddle through this unsupported.

For Autistic Pride Day, we're celebrating the importance of individualized, accessible birth care. 🌿

Sensory needs are real needs.

Whether that means dim lights, reduced noise, clear communication, or specific touch preferences, creating a sensory-friendly birth environment can help autistic parents feel more comfortable, regulated, and supported.

You deserve care that adapts to you—not the other way around.

To all the partners supporting someone through labour this Father's Day 💛

You don't need special training or perfect words. What many birthing people remember most is how supported, encouraged, and cared for they felt.

Being present. Holding a hand. Offering reassurance. Reminding them they're not alone.

Those moments matter.

Happy Father's Day to the partners showing up with patience, love, and support through every contraction and every milestone.

"What if I go into labour during rush hour?" 🚗

It's a common concern, but most labours don't begin with an emergency dash to the hospital.

Early labour is often gradual, giving you time to assess, prepare, and connect with your support team. Having a plan in place can make a big difference in helping you feel confident and prepared.

A little preparation now can help you feel calmer later. 💛

Wondering what to pack in your hospital bag?

The goal isn't to bring everything. It's to bring the things that help you feel comfortable, supported, and prepared.

Remember: hospitals often provide many essentials for both parent and baby. Focus on comfort items, snacks, recovery essentials, and anything that helps you feel more at ease.

And don't forget—your greatest resource is the support around you. 💛

Packing your hospital bag?

Don't forget the snacks. 🍎

Easy-to-eat, nourishing foods can help support energy during labour and recovery after birth. Every person is different, so pack a mix of quick energy foods, protein-rich options, hydration supports, and a few comfort favourites.

Your future self will thank you.

Accessibility in birth care is essential—not optional.

It goes beyond physical access to include communication, sensory awareness, and truly responsive care for people with both visible and non-visible disabilities.

Advocacy and support can make a meaningful difference in how care is experienced. Everyone deserves to feel safe, respected, and heard throughout their birth journey.

When contractions begin, it’s not about pushing through—it’s about working with your body.

Simple, supportive tools like breathing, movement, touch, and a calm environment can make a meaningful difference in how labour feels.

And one of the most powerful supports? Having someone there with you.

You don’t have to navigate this alone.
