Meet your Candidatesā¦ROUND 2.
Hello!
We are Nora (She/They) and Lars (They/Them) and weāre running as 2 peas in a pod this year. Nora is running to be your President; with Lars in the background as VP. Most of yāall already know Nora, sheās the current president of QHNS and the longest-running member of the QHNS board. She has the big picture view of the org and loves thinking about the long-term stability and growth of the org. Sheās committed to the q***r politics of sports and maintaining QHNSās identity as an activist organization, setting us apart from the rest of the hockey options in the HRM.
Lars, has also been around from the start, but a full introduction is probably necessary! Iām Lars, Iāve been playing hockey my whole life and Iāve been volunteering with hockey, student government, q***r orgs, and hockey leagues for almost 10 years now. Iām known for my attention to detail, accidental memorization of governing docs, and general ability to take things the proper amount of serious. I ā¤ļø the community that QHNS has cultivated, and I want the opportunity to give back. I want to be an extra set of hands to help out the other members of the executive, and then focus on policy/procedure/admin. I know that yāall donāt want to have to think about that extra jazz when you come to hockey, so I wanna make them as seamless for yāall as possible so you donāt HAVE to think about it.
