We are over the moon with excitement and gratitude, as it was decided at a Haliburton Rotary meeting last night that a bursary for $2000 would be established for children coming from lower income households for use at Haliburton Gymnastics. Thank You for your donation and this gesture of “service above self.” We will establish the criteria for the bursary which will be made available to us in September and will provide details to the public once we have them. Thank you Rotary Club!

A big thanks to the Ladies Auxiliary of Haliburton for their incredibly gracious donation to Haliburton Gymnastics! ♥️ 💜 Thank you ladies for supporting our Haliburton project for our youth.

We are still fundraising over here for that gorgeous rock climbing wall. In case you think you may have missed the window for sponsoring, you haven’t!

In fact you could be the one who brings that wall to our town! Literally! Our wall is available as of June 20th and not only do we need more funding but we need helping hands to bring it from Port Elgin to Haliburton. If you have free hands, a truck, trailer or even just a drill to lend, you can help make this happen!

Prospective coaches, we are offering two NCCP courses right here in Haliburton. Foundations Introduction to Gymnastics on August 29th and Foundations Artistic Gymnastics August 30th. Normally these courses would require coaches to travel to the GTA to obtain them.

This will mark the first time these courses have been offered in the area and likely won’t happen again until next year. If you have an interest in becoming a coach, take advantage of the proximity. If you’re interested in becoming a coach on our team, we cover your training. Ask me for details.

We’ve got GREAT news this morning!

We are official! Haliburton Gymnastics is now a sanctioned organization with Gymnastics Ontario.

This means:

⭐️ all of our coaches will receive appropriate NCCP training

⭐️ all of our patrons will be members of Gymnastics Ontario and will reap those benefits

⭐️ all of our competitive athletes will have the opportunity to compete at provincial competitions and championships

Such good news!! What’s even better?

⭐️ we can now HOST a coach training course right here in Haliburton with our very own coach who trains and facilitates great coaches, Coach John Craig 👏 👏 👏

A coaching course is in the works now and will be held this Summer. If you think you might have what it takes to join our team of exceptional coaches, now is the time to contact us with your c.v,/resume and let us know that you want the training.

We are floored! One of the best parts about building this Gymnastics project is the discovery of the depth of generosity of those around you. Mike and Mackenzie have gone above and beyond, doing what they do best, bringing some hustle and skill to quality food…and they dedicated all of that to Haliburton Gymnastics last night. We had a windy night but a nice turn out. Thank you friends who came out and thank you so much to Mike and your team at Boshkung Smokehouse for putting this on. Rumor has it that it’s not over and he’s going to do it all again soon! 😃♥️♥️
