This cottage is situated on Ross Lake which is a smaller lake about 2 kilometers due west of Haliburton Lake in the Haliburton Highlands. This is a motorless lake which results in the peace and quiet you have worked so hard to enjoy during your summer vacation. If you plan to bring your own motor boat, the boat launch on Haliburton Lake and Percy Lake is within 10 minutes of the cottage and there

is plenty of room to park your boat trailer at the cottage. The cottage sits back from the lake as you can see and there is a well maintained path and stairs to the lakefront from the cottage. As you exit the cottage, there is a large child safe deck with many chairs for your lounging enjoyment, a propane barbecue for the Executive Chef of the family. Watch the kids as they enjoy the albeit gradual rocky entry with soft bottom shoreline. In addition there is a dock where you will find your canoe, row boat and 2 kayaks. There is a large fire pit at the lake front and beside the cottage as well for those popular evening marshmallow roasts which the kids enjoy so much. The cottage is within 20 minutes of Eagle Lake Village where there is a good country store for supplies and if you are looking for more substantial shopping, the Village of Haliburton is another 15 minute drive from Eagle Lake where you will find large food stores, restaurants, service stations, hardwares, pharmacies, live entertainment and a hospital if health care is needed. ***Personal message this facebook to speak to owner

Its been a while since my last post!

Last year we had to work at getting a Short Term Rental permit from the township. This took us to just before the season to pass

We have the following weeks for rent this year, we do saturday to saturday rentals, we sleep 8. Check in at 4pm, check out at 12am.

In 15 years we have never had cell phone coverage at the cottage. With the addition of Starlink Internet, this enabled WiFi calling and text messages. After a brief visit from my local maintenance guy he mentioned, that a new cell tower was just put up. Today - it's stormy outside, the power is off..internet is off yet - I'm posting this message!!?! I believe for at least Rogers users we have full service, I've texted, called, and played on the internet!! Now with that being said, I am encouraging renters to figure out WiFi calling on their phone - which needs to be done at home with regular cell service to be safe side that it works, then when you come to the cottage, if you don't have cell service - you can connect to wifi, you will receive calls and text. I'm going to keep the landline on, just until people verify which service providers are working! Exciting day!

Hope you are all doing well, wanted to do a friendly reminder about the cottage bookings since family gatherings are upon us soon! I'd like to have my clients booked and deposits paid by Feb 1, 2024. The rate for 2024 is $2150.00. The other question looming is, still Saturday to Saturday or would you rather Sunday to Sunday. We have to find a new cleaner and maintenance person this year and finding a Saturday person is pretty tough. Let me know and if you have dates in mind let me know that as well.
