Hello everyone!
I will be opening my books for this season starting today!
With that being said, I'd like to say a few things for this season. So please read the entire post!
When you contact me about doing a mount, please include what species and condition of the animal (fresh, frozen or sitting out for a year+) pictures are always appreciated.
I will be giving preference to fresh/frozen heads.
There may be an additional fee if it is an old head and difficult to complete.
I prefer when heads have their hide still intact - this makes the skull easier to whiten!
The only condition to this is if it is an old head left out. Then it is preferred to have the hide removed (dried on hide is very hard to remove! And takes weeks of soaking in water to rehydrate in order to remove - hense the additional fee for old heads)
A reminder to fill out your tags properly and fully! This includes the year, your license number, species, and full date of harvest.
If you are hunting within Indigenous rights, I will need your Treaty number.
I will also be charging an additional fee for animals that have maggots or are rotten. To avoid this please contact me ASAP after harvesting the animal about getting a mount done, or stick it in the freezer!
I will be attempting to arrange pick ups in Saskatoon for your convenience, given that I can arrange more than one animal to be picked up to make it worth my drive and time. However, I only have a car so elk, moose and other large animals may need to be directly dropped off at the farm (smaller moose and elk when finished may be able to fit in my car and delivered)
Direct drop offs to the farm are the best as I only have a car at the moment.
I am currently living in Shellbrook so that will be another drop off area, as well as any town in between Shellbrook and Hafford can be a pick up on my way.
One last thing! When dropping off or picking up animals at the farm, we have a dog that is not very happy about other dogs and will jump on your vehicle if there is a dog in your vehicle.
She is very friendly to people.
