📣 Calling All Junior Roller Derby Skaters! 📣

We're looking to add a few more skaters to our Junior Scrimmage this weekend!

Whether you're one of our local juniors or you're part of a neighboring league looking for some extra track time, we'd love to have you join us. This is a great opportunity to gain experience, challenge yourself, meet skaters from other leagues, and have some fun on the track.

🏁 We Need Your Help! 🏁

We're looking for a few volunteers to help out at our upcoming derby weekend!

We are especially looking for:
📝 Scorekeepers – Track and record points as they're awarded by the Jam Ref.
📝 Penalty/Lineup Trackers – Record who is on the track, note penalties, and help confirm information with the penalty box during breaks and halftime.

No experience? No problem! Both positions will receive a quick lesson and some coaching before the game so you'll feel comfortable and confident in the role.

These are great ways to learn more about the sport, get a front-row view of the action, and support our skaters.

Big weekend in Saskatoon for SWSRDA 💥

We had two of our Redneck Betties lace up with NF Bombs for the Best of the Rest bout, and they absolutely brought it. Such a great opportunity to skate alongside and against incredible talent.

Our junior skaters also hit the track in the junior invitational, gaining experience, confidence, and showing just how strong the future of our league is looking.

And of course, Squirrely was right in the middle of it all, officiating and doing what he does best.

We love seeing our league represented on every level — players, juniors, and officials — all showing up, working hard, and supporting the sport we love.

Meet our 2025/2026 Ra Ra Riots!

Our junior team is full of energy, determination, and heart. These young athletes continue to learn, grow, and push themselves every time they hit the track, and it shows.

We may be a little late introducing them this season, but we couldn’t be more proud of this group. Keep an eye on these skaters…they’re the future of roller derby in our community.

Huge congratulations to Squirelly on reaching 100 games reffed! This is a massive milestone in the officiating world and something worth celebrating!

If you know roller derby, you know that refs are the backbone of the game, and hitting 100 games is no small feat. It takes dedication, patience, knowledge, and a whole lot of time spent making sure everyone else gets to play safely and fairly.

On top of that, Squirelly does so much for our league behind the scenes as our League President, Head of Bout, and Head Skating Official, including training and mentoring other officials and helping keep everything running smoothly. And somehow, he still finds time to play and keep learning on the track too.

There are a million little things that happen in a league that most people never see, and chances are, Squirelly has had a hand in making them happen.

Thank you for your time, your leadership, your patience, and everything you do for SWSRDA. We appreciate you more than words can say.
