It’s time for our Labour Day Tournament! There is a guaranteed prize of $200 for the 1st place team!!

Please sign the sheet in the club house to indicate intent to play. Sign up as a single player and declare your team on game day. Walk-ins are welcome the day of, however players who have signed up previously take priority if the tournament is full. This tournament is open to non-GLBC members, however you must be registered with the OLBA.

Can’t wait to see you there! Spectators, don’t forget to grab a drink Brothers Brewing Company B**r and Spritz Garden!

Last weekend, Emily Gibson and Christina Tucker represented District 7 at the Women’s Novice Aussie Pairs Provincial Championship in Cobourg AND Blake Skinner and Blake Grills represented District 7 at the Men’s Novice Aussie Pairs Provincial Championship in Bobcaygeon!

Both teams had lots of fun and enjoyed representing the Guelph Lawn Bowling Club!!

This Saturday is our annual Rose Bowl tournament! Registration at 9:30am and play begins at 10am. 2x10 end games, Aussie style of play. Bring your own lunch.

This is a GLBC member event only, but spectators are always welcome. Grab a beer/spritz and watch the action!

Join us for our Civic Holiday Open Tournament on Monday, August 3rd! The tournament will be 3 8-end games of women’s or mixed pairs. There is a $20 registration fee per player, which will be used for prizes.

This tournament is open to non-GLBC members. Players can sign the sheet in the clubhouse to indicate intent to play (non-GLBC members can message/email us and we will add your name to the list). You can sign up as a team, or as a single player and be assigned a team on game day. Walk-ins on the day of the tournament are welcome, but players who have signed up take priority if the tournament is full.

Registration starts at 5pm on August 3rd and the tournament will start promptly at 5:30pm.

The Brothers Brewing Company B**r and Spritz Garden will be open from 5-10pm! Alcohol is not allowed on the greens but feel free to grab a drink after the tournament.

Spectators are always welcome! Hope to see you all there!

On Saturday, we hosted the District 7 Novice Aussie Pairs tournament. It was a beautiful day to have everyone out on the greens!

The top two teams from each of the women’s and men’s District 7 competition will move onto to the Ontario Provincial Championships in August. We are very happy to announce that one women’s team and one men’s team from the Guelph Lawn Bowling Club will be moving onto the Provincial Championships!

Women’s Champions: Christina Tucker and Emily Gibson (Guelph Lawn Bowling Club)

Women’s 2nd Place: Margaret Vopni and Shirley Kennedy

Men’s Champions: Jim Vopni and Brian Walker

Men’s 2nd Place: Blake Skinner and Blake Grills (Guelph Lawn Bowling Club)

We are very proud of all the players, including 7 Guelph members! Thank you to our umpire, Ed Armstrong, for ensuring the competition was fair! And thank you to all the spectators for cheering us on 🎉🙌

The summer heat is here! That can only mean one thing… it’s time for ice cream 🍨🍦

Ice Cream Sundae is on Sunday, July 12 starting at 10am.

We’ll play 2 x 10 end games – open pairs. Teams will be drawn with the exception of youth (under 18) who can choose their partner. There is a $5 entry fee; you can pay at the door.

There will be a break for ice cream between games. Everyone who plays goes home with ice cream!

Reminder for non-members that you are more than welcome to come watch! The Brothers Brewing B**r and Spritz Garden will be open from 12-10pm 🧊🥃🍺🍹
