Our 2026 season kicked off yesterday on a beautiful sunny day! We gathered for Pie Day and our Spring Meeting 🥧🙌 It was great to see our members again and some new folks trying out the game!

Pie Day!! Come out to play some lawn bowling and eat some pie 🥧 and please join us for the Spring Meeting at 1pm.

Members who are itching to start the season (understandable 🙌), the greens will be available to play on May 16th.

It's that time of year! Lawn bowling in Guelph starts May 17th!

New members are welcome! If you are a returning member who has already completed an insurance waiver, you only need to submit the membership form.

There is one significant change to this year's membership - and it isn't the price. This year children and grandchildren under the age of 18 are automatically included as members!

Looking forward to another great season!

The picture attached is the schedule for Travis Anderson and his partner Murray Bennewies. All times are local to Norway which is currently +5 hours to Ontario.

I did not know this about the root of the jack!

The Jack is the primary target in the game of lawn bowls. It is thought that the name is derived from the Latin " jactus." which means "to cast" or "to throw."
The first player rolls the jack to a distance of at least 21m and makes sure that it is centered on the green. If it comes to rest less than 2m from the front ditch, it must be placed on the center line 2m from the front ditch.
The Jack is sometimes referred to as the Kitty or the Pill.
