For 11 seasons on the World Cup Freestyle Moguls circuit, was too focused on competing to truly experience a ski trip.

For six days this winter in Val Thorens, he was testing some of the lineup for 26/27 in real mountain conditions.

Laying it over is just like standing on one foot…

Skiing is simple. It’s just hard to do. A lot of people like to explain and dig into the complexities and anatomy of skiing. A lot of which is hard to feel and do when skiing. For example, I’ve never thought of rotating my tibia or my big or little toe edge. The positions are simple, and any semi-athletic person can get into them at home. If you can’t get into a good ski position in your kitchen, it won’t happen on the snow. Trusting yourself to do it is the hard part.
