One of the biggest things that keeps us from following the path our heart is calling us toward isn't a lack of ability … it's the fear of looking foolish.

The fear of getting it wrong. The fear of not being ready. The fear of not being perfect.

It's easy to believe everyone else has it all figured out. We look at the people who inspire us and see confidence, wisdom, and success. But what we don't see are the countless moments that came before: the uncertainty, the mistakes, the awkward first attempts, the lessons learned through experience.

But growth has never been a polished process.

Somewhere along the way we've come to believe that we should only begin once we're certain we'll succeed. But certainty isn't what moves us forward. Courage is.

Every person you admire once stood exactly where you are now, wondering if they were good enough, capable enough, ready enough. The difference wasn't that they had all the answers. They simply took the next step anyway.

Ardha Matsyendrasana (Half Lord of the Fishes Pose) is a seated spinal twist that encourages mobility through the spine while creating space across the chest, shoulders, and hips.

As you lengthen through the spine and gently rotate from your centre, you're not simply moving into a twist, you're creating space to see things differently. After all, twists don't just change the direction of the body, they invite us to change the way we see ourselves and the world around us.

Physically, Ardha Matsyendrasana helps improve spinal mobility, strengthens the muscles that support healthy posture, stretches the shoulders and outer hips, and encourages fuller, more expansive breathing. With consistent practice, this pose can help release built-up tension, restore ease of movement, and leave you feeling both grounded and refreshed.

Just like the twist itself, sometimes all it takes is a small shift in perspective to create space for something new.

A decision to stop letting fear have the final say. A decision to trust yourself before you have all the answers. A decision to begin, even when it feels uncomfortable.

Because every day you spend waiting is still a day spent choosing.
