It's with sadness that we share the passing of the horse who inspired the Tapestry Comfort Girth... Majestic Tribute, aka "Magic" 💙
Here are some words from founder, Linda Hauck:
"Some horses come into our lives for a reason, some for a season, and some for a lifetime. Magic was all three.
Magic is the reason the Tapestry Comfort Girth exists. A student of mine purchased Magic just as he finished his life as a racehorse. I eventually acquired Magic in 2014.
When I brought his tack to the stall, he would retreat to the back corner, drop his head and pin his ears. He was telling me, as clearly as he could, that he didn't like what was about to happen. He had a custom-fitted saddle and went beautifully on the lunge line. But in a traditional leather girth with elastic at both ends, he refused to move forward, especially at the canter.
So I made him a promise: I would design something far more comfortable. And I did.
Within three weeks of wearing the Tapestry Comfort Girth prototype, Magic's behaviour changed. He began waiting for me at the front of his stall, and moving forward was no longer an issue. He wore "his" girth for all six years he was with me and never looked back.
Magic, thank you for coming into my life for a reason. Because of you, thousands of horses around the world are more comfortable under tack.
Thank you to Adriana and her family for loving Magic and giving him a home for the rest of his life.
