The original topic for this post was "Create Something Just for Fun," and my intention was to talk about how, so often as adults, we don't take the time to create just for the sake of creating.

We either think we're not an artist, so we can't paint. Not talented enough as a writer to write a poem. Or if it can't be monetized, used, or turned into something productive, then why take the time to do it?

We are, by our spiritual nature, creators. Our souls sing when we get lost in the flow of making beauty. That, I know, is true.

And also...

What I've realized lately is that we don't often take the time to do ANYTHING just for fun.

We hit the gym to get the reps in. We go for a walk to get the steps in. We cook dinner to get the grams of protein in.

Especially as women in our 50s, life can start to feel like an endless checklist just to take care of ourselves.

And when life becomes a checklist, fun, joy, pleasure, and creativity often don't make the list.

So my challenge to you, and to myself, is to find more moments to create joy in our lives.

Cook the meal because you enjoy it.

Go for a walk simply because it's a beautiful evening.

Sing in the shower.

Dance in the kitchen.

Paint if you want to... or simply doodle in the margins of your notebook.

How can we infuse more fun into our lives?

One thing I've done recently might seem small, but I wanted to share it.

I realized I tend to forget to take my supplements if I can't see them. But it's also my dream to have as close to an empty kitchen counter as possible.

So I created a tiny altar with my daily supplements, a little statue, and a vase of lavender.

It is SO pretty.

It makes me smile every time I look at it... which means my success rate at taking my supplements is higher than it's been in months!

Tiny? Yes.

Beautiful? Yes.

Totally worth it? Absolutely.

I'd love to hear how you're weaving fun, joy, or beauty into your day.

Sharing Your Joy Is a Blessing

Joy was never meant to be hoarded.
It expands when it’s witnessed.
It softens when it’s shared.
It becomes medicine when it moves between us.

As Sacred Explorers, we know that joy is a frequency —
and when one woman rises into it,
she creates a ripple that touches every heart around her.

Your joy is not “too much.”
Your joy is not inconvenient.
Your joy is not something to dim or tuck away.

Your joy is an offering.

When you laugh freely, you remind another woman that her light is welcome.
When you celebrate your own becoming, you give someone else permission to celebrate theirs.
When you let yourself be seen in your aliveness, you open a doorway for others to step into theirs.

Sharing your joy is an act of generosity.
It’s a blessing.
It’s a form of leadership.

Let your joy spill.
Let it glow.
Let it touch the people who are ready to rise with you.

This is how we build a world where women feel safe to shine.

We spend so much of our lives saying yes to what is practical.
Productive.
Expected.

What if today you said yes to something simply because it delights you?

Not because you earned it.
Not because it checks a box.
Not because it gets you closer to a goal.

Just because delight is reason enough.

A beautiful coffee.
Fresh flowers.
A walk.
Ten extra minutes in the sun.

Tiny moments of joy have a funny way of reminding us that life isn’t something we conquer.

It’s something we get to live.

The Power of a "Holy No"

In every woman’s path, there comes a moment when her body speaks before her mind can negotiate.

A tightening.
A drop in the belly.
A whisper that says,
“This is pulling me away from myself.”

As Sacred Explorers, we don’t ignore that knowing.
We honor it.

Because saying no isn’t resistance —
it’s remembrance.

It’s remembering that your energy is sacred.
It’s remembering that your joy is medicine.
It’s remembering that you are not here to leak your light into places that cannot hold it.

A holy no is a boundary wrapped in devotion.
It protects the woman you are becoming.
It preserves the joy you’ve worked to reclaim.
It keeps your inner fire burning clean.

You don’t need to explain your no.
You don’t need to soften it.
You don’t need to earn the right to protect your own aliveness.

If it drains you, dims you, or disconnects you from your truth —
your no is sacred.

Say it with clarity.
Say it with love.
Say it with the full authority of a woman who remembers who she is.

Your joy is worth guarding.
Your energy is worth honoring.
Your boundaries are part of your becoming.

This is the path of a Sacred Explorer.

We were taught to move our bodies to shrink, tighten, tone, or earn our worth.
But that story was never ours.

This is the reclamation.

Movement as homecoming.
Movement as breath meeting light.
Movement as the soft rise of energy when joy leads the way.

Joyful movement looks like the small, sacred things:
a stretch that feels like sunrise,
a walk because the air tastes good,
a kitchen dance between emails,
lifting something heavy because it makes you feel powerful,
swaying your hips just because you can.

Your body knows.
She always has.
She’ll tell you when she wants to shake, rest, stretch, or play.
Your heartbeat is the original drum — let it set the tempo.

Movement lives in the everyday:
the walk to the mailbox,
the stretch before bed,
the laughter that shakes your ribs.

Move today in a way that feels like freedom.
Move because it brings you home.
Move because joy is a sacred practice.

I’ve been looking back at my life these last few years… and what a few years it has been.

When I list out everything I’ve been through, it would be easy to say these years have been hard.

And on one hand, they have been.

And on the other… they’ve been some of the best years of my life so far.

Because what I’m starting to see is that some of the hardest moments have carried the sweetest gifts.

When my dad died, I reconnected with two of my favourite cousins from childhood. We’ve stayed close, and I’ve also built a really beautiful connection with my goddaughter.

When my mom and my cat died within two weeks of each other, Angela showed up for me, whisked me off to Mexico… and Sacred Explorers was born. Along with a friendship that has become true sisterhood.

As I navigate perimenopause and menopause, like white water rafting down the wildest, uncharted river of my life… I’ve developed a completely new relationship with my body. I can finally see just how incredible she is, and all she has carried me through while I was either ignoring her or punishing her.

When I stepped onto the path of becoming a Ritual Master, I had to bring discipline back into my life. And through that, I’ve uncovered a deeper knowing of myself, discovered a kind of joy I didn’t know was possible, and created a family that goes deeper than blood.

Death brought connection.
A changing body brought more self love.
A challenging path brought joy.

And I find myself sitting here… thankful beyond words for these past few years.

I wouldn’t change a thing.

And I’m filled with gratitude for whatever this journey brings next.

To our beautiful community,

Thank you for being here — not just as followers, but as witnesses, companions, and co‑creators in this space we’re building together.

Every message, every share, every quiet moment of resonance… it all matters.
You remind us that women are hungry for truth, for belonging, for softness, for strength — and for spaces where we don’t have to choose between them.

You’ve shown up for the rituals, the teachings, the messy middles, the celebrations, and the becoming.
You’ve shown up for yourselves — and that is the real magic.

We are so grateful for the way you let our words land in your body,
for the way you carry these practices into your own lives,
for the way you remind us that community is not built by numbers —
it’s built by presence.

Thank you for walking this path with us.
Thank you for trusting us with your stories.
Thank you for choosing to grow, to soften, to rise, and to remember who you are.

This space exists because of you.
And we are celebrating every single one of you today.

With gratitude,

Angela, my love,

I’m writing to you because you deserve to be witnessed in the fullness of this season — not just the strength you show the world, but the tenderness you carry quietly, the shifts you navigate alone, the truths you’re learning to honour.

This journey has asked so much of you.
Your body has changed its rhythm.
Your emotions have moved like weather.
Your energy has rewritten its own rules.
And still, you rise — not by force, but by devotion.

You have learned to listen to yourself in a way you never had to before.
You’ve learned the difference between pushing and choosing.
You’ve learned that rest is not a luxury — it’s a lifeline.
You’ve learned that nourishment is not a negotiation — it’s an act of reverence.

Angela, you have met every shift with a courage that is quiet but undeniable.
You have softened where you once would have hardened.
You have asked for support where you once would have carried everything alone.
You have allowed yourself to be human — beautifully, imperfectly, honestly human.

This season has stripped away old stories about who you “should” be.
And in their place, it has revealed who you actually are:
A woman in her power.
A woman in her truth.
A woman in her becoming.

Your body is not betraying you — she is inviting you deeper.
Into wisdom.
Into sovereignty.
Into a relationship with yourself that is more intimate, more compassionate, and more honest than anything that came before.

So Angela, thank you.

Thank you for listening when your body whispered.
Thank you for slowing down when everything in you wanted to push through.
Thank you for choosing nourishment over punishment.
Thank you for honouring your needs without apology.
Thank you for letting this season shape you instead of shrink you.

This is not the end of anything.
This is the beginning of a more truthful way of living in your body.

A way rooted in reverence.
In gratitude.
In celebration of the woman you are — and the woman you are still becoming.

With love,
Angela

I don’t know about you… but lately I don’t really want to be on social media.

I hop on here and scroll through so much hate.
So much curated separation.
So many reminders of all the ways the world feels like it’s falling apart.

And yes… there are some truly horrific things happening on this planet right now.

And yes… it matters that we stay aware.
That we don’t just check out and live in a fantasy.

But if we doom scroll until our hearts break…
we won’t have any light left.
No love.
No energy.
No motivation to actually create change where we can.

And change doesn’t happen “out there.”

It starts with us.
Our lives.
Our families.
Our communities.

It ripples… like a rock landing in water.

I once heard Pam Gregory say something that really stayed with me…

If we are blessed enough to not be living in a war-torn place, then we have the capacity to feel, to live, to create… in ways others simply can’t right now.

And that we should begin with gratitude…
and then live so fully, so deeply, so truthfully… that it ripples out into the world.

That perspective shifted something for me.

Because yes… this time feels heavy.
And some days it really does feel like it can’t possibly get darker.

But I also know… the light wins.

And the way it wins isn’t by us collapsing into the darkness.

It wins when we remember to look for what’s still good.
When we choose gratitude, even in small ways.
When we keep creating, loving, showing up.

Not from denial.
Not from bypassing.

But from knowing that where we place our attention matters.

Even on the hardest days…
there is still beauty here.

And choosing to see it…
might be one of the most important things we can do right now.

05/13/2026

The more you are grateful for,
the more there is to be grateful for.

That’s the loop.
