Feel confident that your JOGA Coach is an Authorized JOGA provider by using our website to see if they are listed on our site. Over the years we have had over a thousand people take our JOGA Certification however, many did not complete their training hours or take their final practical exam. In other cases some have been certified, years ago and have not kept their certification through our yearly re-certification program.

In order to use the JOGA brand or use the JOGA Movement system a JOGA Coach must hold either a JOGA Coach Academy or Authorized Coach Provider designation. This is done to assure that our coaches are delivering the JOGA MOVEMENT system as intended and are credible and safe providers.

“What's up it's Kevon Looney, I am a professional basketball player from Golden State Warriors. And I've been doing JOGA for about 10 months. Now it's really changed my body. You know, I had a few hip surgeries and a lower ab surgery, I really needed to improve my mobility and JOGA has been my go to really change my life.

It has been a lot of fun, you know? I really feel like it's my secret weapon. You know, I know that I have been putting in extra work to really know I'm in tune with my body I know how to move and move correctly. You know, as a professional athlete, it only takes a small difference to separate you from being good to average or Good to Great and I feel like JOGA is that secret weapon that takes me to the next level. And you know, I just love having my coaches in my corner and they watch my games and you know, I do it every game day in a game prepared, activated and ready to go out there to perform the highest level but they always pushed me even sometimes I'm tired. The hip flexors are a group of muscles responsible for helping lift the knee toward the body, as well as helping you bend at the waist.

The hip flexors can become strained when they are overstretched, overused, torn, or the surrounding muscles are weak. Some sports where hip flexor strains are commonly seen include dance, martial arts, football, and soccer.

A hip flexor strain can lead to inflammation, pain, and restricted mobility.

HIP FLEXOR STRAIN PREVENTION:

To prevent a hip flexor strain, athletes must make sure they are properly warming up and cooling down, maintaining sufficient range of motion in the hips, and strengthening surrounding muscles, such as the glutes and hamstrings.

If you work with athletes who may be prone to hip flexor strains, JOGA can help you identify what weaknesses and mobility limitations are present so that you may help your athletes safely stretch and build up strength in these areas to prevent injury.

At JOGA, we are honoured to train 8 teams in the who are in the playoffs, and one area that we make sure to focus on with our basketball players is knee protection. Basketball players are at high risk for knee injuries because they are always loading the knees while running and jumping. The JOGA hover table is one exercise we use to help prevent knee injuries in basketball. In the JOGA hover table, we are working on building quad strength, which helps with knee stabilization.
