Yoshinkan Aikido uses the idea that a straight spine and relaxed body generates more power than a tense or misaligned body. By using correct body alignment and relaxation, a student (Aikidoka) can deal with, and generate, powerful forces with their body. Our system is designed to train and develop the body into a powerful coordinated unit. The primary skills are balance, timing, coordination and t

umbling; therefore, the use of direct strength is not a requirement, and is in fact a detriment to becoming an effective Aikidoka.

The Dojo will be closed as of April 30th. We have the following items available:

1. 48 Tatami mats. $10 each
2. Mirrors 7 pieces about 2 x 4 $100
3. Kids 2' x 2' interlocking playroom mats (about 30). Free or donation

We are selling these items to help with the closing costs.

Goodbye For Now

Sorry to say that we are losing our space and now we don't have a home for our Dojo. Starting up again in the time of COVID is not realistic and we have to say goodbye for now.

Who knows what the future will hold. Maybe in a couple of years when we are 100% behind COVID-19 and can train with contact once again, we will look at starting again.

To all students past and present. Thank you for being part of our Aikido Journey. Please keep in touch.

We are building an online training library that our students can access. We will be holding live online classes very soon. With the 2nd wave of COVID-19 it would not be responsible to start up the kids classes so we have decided to wait for the time being.

Stay tuned for news on our new online dojo.

Our first day time class starts Feb 4th at 10 am. We are planning to add Thursday as well, after we see how Tuesday goes. If you know of anyone that would be interested in Aikido in the day time, please spread the word.
