We are incredibly honoured to have received our second major club award at last week's Athletic Clubs Banquet.

From University of Guelph Fitness & Recreation:
“The Circle of Excellence Award is given to the club who exemplifies success on and off the field of play as a shining example of excellence in administration and athlete development while consistently representing positive Gryphon virtues in the communities they interact with.”

Our executive team is incredibly proud of the season and events we were able to create with the help of Matthew Wright and Adam Bailey, and of our club members for their dedication and achievements this season.

And finally, congratulations to the winner of the Outstanding Leadership Award, this year’s president, Grace!

This was Grace’s second year as the president of Gryphon’s Artistic Swimming Club, has worked tirelessly over the last 3 years to build our club to the success that it is today. She has dedicated countless hours from weekly emails to the coaches and her club mates, communication of the new rules implemented this year, and all the other thankless jobs that are necessary for running a university club. The most amazing part of this was that she did it all with a huge smile, not a single complaint, and asking for nothing in return. We know that the club would not have been nearly as successful and well-run without her presence.

Grace – You consistently demonstrate what a true leader and selfless commitment due to a love of sport is. I know that I speak for the entire club when we say thank you!

Congratulations to the winner of the Outstanding Commitment Award, Cassidy!

Her dedication and leadership skills were a driving force behind the team's achievements. Moreover, her infectious enthusiasm for the sport has made Artistic Swimming a more enjoyable and exciting experience for everyone involved. Her love and passion for the sport were evident at every practice and her positivity and energy were contagious. She was an absolute pleasure to coach. We are confident that she will continue to inspire others with her outstanding commitment to Artistic Swimming, and I have no doubt that she will achieve great things in the future. She has proven herself to be a true champion, both on and off the pool deck!

This year we were able to recognize three AMAZING athletes at last week’s Clubs Banquet.

Congratulations to this year’s winner of the Outstanding Work Ethic Award, Bridget!

She always came to the pool ready to work. She was always prepared, engaged, reliable, and was willing to help out her teammates throughout the year. She is a talented swimmer, and even more importantly is an amazing teammate and friend who is always at practice, always working to improve, and always positive. Her dedication and enthusiasm to learning and excelling in this sport was amazing to witness!
