HORSELOVERS CLUB!

What a fun group for our first session! Even the rain couldn't dampen spirits and Joey, Henry, and Abby were pampered with brushing, love, new hairstyles and even some colorful Hooves!

This small-group program is designed for older horse-crazy kids wanting a more hands-on horse experience focused on:
🐴 horse care, knowledge & grooming
🐕 groundwork & obstacle work
🏇 riding basics
🧠 horse behaviour & communication
🌾 confidence, responsibility & practical horsemanship skills

Fun, beginner to intermediate friendly, and lots of hands-on horse time in a real barn/horse farm environment.

Spring riding lessons have officially begun!

We started with some brushing and ground safety, played some games, and ended with Rylee independently riding and steering around some natural obstacles🌲!

Prairie Hooves Mighty Horselovers
(Ages 10–13)

Due to the overwhelming response to our younger Horse Lovers Club, we’re opening a second group for older horse-crazy kids wanting a hands-on horsemanship experience

This small-group program will focus on:
🐴 horse care, safety, grooming, practical horse knowledge
🐕 groundwork & obstacle work
🧠 understanding horse behaviour & communication
🌳fresh air and nature
🏇 riding basics **not a riding centered program
🌾 confidence, responsibility, and leadership through working with horses
🎯 games, challenges, and real-life barn skills

This is designed to be fun, supportive, and beginner-friendly while still giving kids the opportunity to learn real horsemanship skills and build confidence around horses.

Horses have an amazing way of building confidence, patience, and resilience in kids.

Did you know that horse hooves grow more quickly in the summer than they do in the winter!?

All of the horses got their feet done today, and we got everybody dewormed. It was a good day! (Minus the wind).

Thankful for our farrier!

Prairie Hooves New Addition 👀

SPIRIT

In a split second of weakness (lol), we got this wild mini 3 year old stud last weekend and already Ila has him halterbroke.

He needs to build up some trust and confidence around humans, but unsurprisingly he already likes Ila best.

Stay tuned for his progress and potential sale once Ila has worked her magic and done some training on him!
