We recently had the chance to chat with Jonathan Migneault for CBC Radio’s Morning North, hosted by Markus Schwabe, about the historic snowstorm that took down our dome, the road to recovery, and what it has taken to get SITC ready to reopen.

That road is finally wrapping up! After months of repairs, rebuilding and getting everything back in place, we’re getting closer to opening the doors and getting back to the sounds, laughs and familiar faces that make SITC what it is.

We’re so grateful to everyone who has supported SITC along the way.

We recently had the chance to chat with Jonathan Migneault for CBC Radio’s Morning North, hosted by Markus Schwabe, about the historic snowstorm that took down our dome, the road to recovery, and what it has taken to get SITC ready to reopen.

It's back! Join us for The Breast Pickleball Tournament EVER, with proceeds going toward the Canadian Cancer Society.

Date: Sunday, September 27th, 4-7pm

Where: SITC!

Registration Fee: $50

Experience: A playoff-style friendly tournament featuring:

- Mixed doubles or doubles teams

- Beginner/Intermediate Division

- Advanced Division

The number of games will be determined once registration closes.

Registration deadline: September 22nd

Callout for junior players! Come practice your hand-eye coordination, reaction time, and speed!

Our Progressive Tennis Pathway helps young players develop their skills, confidence and love of the game one stage at a time.

RED BALL 🔴
Tuesday | 5:30–6:30 PM
Saturday | 9:00–10:00 AM

ORANGE BALL 🟠
Tuesday | 5:30–6:30 PM - SOLD OUT
Saturday | 10:00–11:00 AM

GREEN BALL 🟢
Tuesday | 4:30–5:30 PM
Saturday | 11:00 AM–12:00 PM

Each stage uses age- and skill-appropriate equipment, court sizes and activities to help players build strong fundamentals while having fun.

Whether they're picking up a racquet for the first time or ready for their next challenge, there's a place for them on the pathway.

LAST DAY TO SIGN UP!

Want to turn your pickleball experience into coaching skills that can make a difference on the court?

Today is the last day to register for Instructor 1: Introducing Pickleball, a Level 1 NCCP Pickleball Certification offered in partnership with Pickleball Canada.

Whether you're already coaching, interested in becoming a coach, or simply want to build the skills and confidence to teach pickleball effectively, this course is a great place to start.

- Nationally recognized coaching certification
- Approximately 8 hours of on-court instruction (Sept 15, 8am-4pm) + webinar (Sep. 9th, 6-9pm)
- Learn lesson planning, group management, safety & effective instruction
- Prerequisite for higher-level Pickleball Canada coaching certifications
- Listed in the Pickleball Canada Certified Coaches Directory upon completion
- Access to coaching insurance through the Tennis Professionals Association (TPA)
