Fielding Park is a great place for families to visit and enjoy nature together.

At our park, we have a wide variety of birds who come to visit daily, we frequently get to see Geese, Chickadees, Mallards, and Trumpeter Swans. When visiting the park, make sure to keep an eye out for our elusive and friendly bird species nearby!

Today is World Bee Day!

World Bee Day is meant to spread awareness of the importance of pollinators, the threats they face and their contribution to sustainable development.

This year highlights the importance of involving youth in beekeeping and pollinator conservation efforts while recognizing them as our future stewards of the environment. The theme also aims to raise awareness about the essential role bees and other pollinators play in agriculture, ecological balance and biodiversity preservation.

Fielding Park is home to many species of birds including Trumpeter Swans!

This week we wanted to share a photo of our beautiful Trumpeter Swans that are frequently spotted at our park. Trumpeter Swans are assumed to mate for life and are our biggest waterfowl, stretching 6 feet in length and weighing more than 25 pounds. These Swans call our park home as it is the perfect place for them because they breed on wetlands and winter on ice-free waters.

Fielding Park is home to many birds, squirrels and other wildlife. This month we’ve seen there is an adorable deer roaming our park, and we’ve been able to spot this cute little deer nearly every day.

Come visit our park for a new adventure and experience the wonderful outdoors!
