September 10th, 1939, Canada officially enters into WW2 sending our Troops into Europe to fight evil !! September 11th, 2001 although a different evil, our closest Allie is the target, lives of so many innocent people gone, their Families, friends and a nation left to mourn. The World we knew changed forever !!!

Our IW 786 Family is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Linda Dodds , a long term employee and member .

Linda retired in Jan. 2021. Many any of our members might not have met Linda in person but defiantly had spoke with her on the phone in past years , as she was the voice you always heard when calling the Hall to pay dues or had questions and numerous other things .

Our hearts are with her family , friends , co-workers and everyone whose lives she touched .

Family will gather privately.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Canadian Lung Associations.

If any of our members or family of our members would like to help out with our IW 786 Christmas Party this year .............. Brother Poul and Tammy Martinsen and will be meeting Wednesday Sept.9th @ 7pm at the Ironworkers Sault Ste. Marie office .
It would be great if we could get some help with putting the party on . So if you would like to help out ........anyway you can , please just show up on Wednesday Evening .

Labor Day belongs to working people.

It's a day to recognize the skill, dedication, and sacrifice of Ironworkers across Canada and the United States who build the bridges, stadiums, towers, structures and Mills that keep our countries moving forward.

Today, we celebrate you!

Happy Labor Day, 786 Brothers and Sisters. Show your UNION pride by coming down to the celebrations in Sudbury and the Sault !!

Sudbury events are from 11:00 am to 2:00pm

Sault Parade starts at 11:30 am and events run until 2pm

Come on out 786 Brother's , Sister's and Families and join the Sudbury and District Labour Council and the Sault Ste Marie and District Labour Council on Monday, September 7, 2026, for a day of fun and celebration in both Sudbury and the Sault ........... Times and locations are posted on the following posters.
Hope to see alot of our members attend this celebration !!
