It’s been a LONG season of racing. We’ve seen first-time winners, championship battles, photo finishes, hard-fought podiums, and more than a few surprises along the way.

Now there’s nowhere left to hide. 😤

This is the final chance to put it all on the line.

🔥🏁 RACE 8 IS IN THE BOOKS! 🏁🔥

Yesterday’s round of the 2026 Technica Mining Karting Championship, sponsored by Zulich Homes, was an absolute barn burner! 🏎️💨

Both the Junior and Senior classes brought the action, but the Juniors stole the show with the closest finish of the season so far! Every lap and every corner mattered as the battle came right down to the wire! 😮‍💨🔥

And up front in Senior, we had yet another new winner this season as Andrew Ross captured his first SKC Senior victory! 🏆👏

The 2026 Technica Mining Karting Championship is heading into its final two race weekends, with back-to-back Sundays in September set to decide this year’s championship battles! 🏆

We’ve seen incredible racing all season long, from first-time podiums and close finishes to plenty of chaos and unforgettable moments. But now, there’s no more waiting! Every lap, every position, and every championship point counts.

🌙🏁 WHAT. A. NIGHT! 🏁🌙

After 17 years, night racing returned to Sudbury Kartways — and what a comeback it was! 🔥

The Kid Karts kicked off the evening with plenty of laps and smiles before the big boys and girls of the Sudbury Kart Club took to the track under the lights. The racing was fast, the atmosphere was incredible, and the crowd showed up in full force! 🏎️💨

Junior saw another first-time winner as Alistair Smith picked up his first victory with the club since making the move from our Arrive & Drive league this season! 🏆👏

In Senior, Joey Haynes continued his incredible run with his 5th straight victory, while rookie Andrew Ross made his first appearance on the podium with a hard-fought 3rd place! 🔥🏆

A massive thank you to our event sponsor, REIC Rentals, for providing the lighting that made this night possible. When a small electrical fault forced a quick pivot during the evening, the REIC team didn’t miss a beat and helped get everything back on track for the final races. We can’t thank you enough for your support and patience! 💡👏

And finally, a HUGE thank you to all of our volunteers, sponsors, competitors, families, and supporters. Events like this take an incredible amount of work behind the scenes, and your patience, flexibility, and enthusiasm helped make the return of night racing an absolute smash. ❤️🏁

🌙🏁 THE COUNTDOWN IS ON… NIGHT RACING IS COMING! 🏁🌙

After 17 years, the Sudbury Kart Club is bringing night racing back to Sudbury Kartways for the first time since 2009! Tuesday, August 25th is the big night, and we are ready for an evening of racing unlike anything we’ve seen in a long time. 🔥🏎️💨

A HUGE thank you to REIC Rentals for sponsoring this special event and providing the lighting required to make it happen! 💡👏 We couldn’t do this without their support.

🏁🔥 Race 6 is in the books! 🔥🏁

It may have been a cool morning at Sudbury Kartways, but things heated up quickly once the green flag dropped! 🏎️💨

We welcomed another new Kid Kart driver to the group this weekend, continuing to grow the next generation of racers. 👏

The Junior class saw Madison Griffith pick up her second win of the season, while Jackson Ospina put on a fightback after a brake failure during the Pre-Final. 💪🏆

And in Senior, Joey Haynes put together another incredible weekend. After qualifying P5, Joey fought his way forward to win both the Pre-Final and Final, extending his winning streak to four straight victories! 🔥🏆

After a well-earned break over the long weekend, it’s time to fire the engines back up because the 2026 Technica Mining Karting Championship is back in action! 🔥🏎️💨

The short break may have given everyone a chance to rest and recharge, but you can be sure our drivers are ready to get back to what they do best. With the championship battles beginning to take shape, every qualifying lap, every pass, and every point will be more important than ever.

We’ve already seen incredible racing all season long, with close battles, exciting passes, and first-time podium finishers making their mark. As we head into Race 6, the pressure is on, and we can’t wait to see who takes another step toward championship glory! 🏆

🙋‍♂️🏁 We’re Looking for Volunteers This Sunday! 🏁🙋‍♀️

The Sudbury Kart Club will be attending the Sudbury Classic Cruisers 33rd Annual Car Show this Sunday at Copper Cliff Park, and we’re looking for a few members to help represent the club throughout the day!

No experience is necessary! Just bring your enthusiasm for karting and be ready to chat with members of the community about what makes Sudbury Kart Club such a special place.

Whether you’ve been racing for years, are a parent of a driver, or are newer to the club, we’d love to have you join us. You don’t need to commit to the entire event either. If you’re only available for a few hours, we’d still greatly appreciate the help!

This is a fantastic opportunity to:
🏎️ Share your passion for karting
🤝 Help introduce new families to the club
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Grow our karting community
📣 Represent Sudbury Kart Club at one of Sudbury’s premier community events
