🐝 Hornet Uptrack is in!

Our first dedicated south-side singletrack climb now creates a 5 km all-singletrack loop and helps connect WNSC into a 15.85 km ride from south to north.

Better grades. Better flow. Better use of the land.

We also reclaimed 3 old trail sections as part of the project.

Fresh dirt is waiting. Come ride it! 🤘

🚵 BIG MILESTONE FOR WNSC!

We rode it last night and it’s unreal.

With the new north trails and the new Hornet Uptrack on the south side, WNSC can now link together a 15.85 km singletrack loop with 184 m of elevation gain.

🐝 Hornet Uptrack is our first dedicated singletrack climb on the south side and creates a solid 5 km loop entirely on singletrack. It replaces the old ski-hill grind with a smoother, more interesting climb through mature poplar forest.

This project wasn’t just about adding trail either. We also reclaimed 3 old trails, removing redundant lines and focusing traffic onto better, more sustainable routes.

✅ 15 km north + south loop

A huge thanks to our trail crew for putting in the work. This is some of the best trail we’ve built yet.

Congratulations to Zone 8 Mountain Bike Athlete, Ethan Martin, for a great competition at the Alberta Summer Games. The weekend started off with extreme heat and ended with excessive rain … sprinkled with a crazy amount of mosquitos and very angry wasps on the race course. Ethan persevered through all of it like a true competitor!

A big thank you to GP coaches, Lori Brough and Daniel Martin, for coaching not only Zone 8 but Edmonton Zone 6 athletes as well!
