Weekend Recap (June 5th to 7th)

This past weekend we hosted our 2nd of 2 Spring Club Basketball Tournaments. All in all we hosted 34 teams over the 3 days.

Congratulations go out to Swan City - U15G Buhler for capturing the Gold. The girls went 4-0 in their pool before defeating Swan City - U15G Duncan in the Gold Medal Match.

Congratulations as well to Swan City - U13G Brown for taking 1st place in the U13 Girls Division. The girls went 4-0 over the weekend.

Congratulations to Rise Above U13 Boys on their Gold, defeating Swan City - U13B Ferguson in the final.

Congratulations Worsley Wildcats U11 Boys and Infinity U12 Girls for winning their respective divisions over the weekend.

Huge Thank you to all the parent volunteers over the course of the 2 weekends!

In Edmonton at the Genesis YEG, Swan City - HSB Gorgichuk went 3-1 losing only to pool winner GOOD Hoops. Swan City HSG M. Gravengard, U17G K. Gravengard, U17B Keddy and U15B Pravitz were also in action getting some excellent team and individual results.

This weekend: Swan City U13G Brown and Ava/Aly are off to Peace River to compete in the Summer Blizzard on Sat/Sun.

Coming soon: 6 teams are off to Calgary for the Alley-OOP Tournament on June 19th to 21st with the bulk of our teams completing their final tournament on June 26th to 28th in Edmonton for the GCSO.

Swan City Basketball and Volleyball SUMMER CAMPS

When:
Week 1: Monday July 20th to Friday July 24th
Week 2: Monday July 27th to Friday July 31st
Week 3: TBD (Waiting on Gym Confirmation)

Cost: $150.00 per participant/per camp

Time: 9am to 12pm or 1230pm to 330pm (depending on sport).

Where: Camps will be located at Maude Clifford Public School

Past and Current Swan players took to the floor with Coach G, Coach Keddy, Coach Brown and Coach LaCroix this week.

Several of these players started in our programming in 2017 and even more since 2019. Their commitment to their own development is nice to celebrate!

Weekend Recap (May 29th to 31st)

This past weekend we hosted our 6th Annual Club Basketball Tournament sponsored by Skyline Well Testing for High School Boys, High School Girls and U15 Boys.

All in all, 37 teams attended over the 3 days.

Congratulations to HSB Gorgichuk (4-0), HSG M. Gravengard (4-0) and U16B Farrell (3-1) for winning their High School Divisions.

Congratulations as well to U15B Rigler Law Selects and U15B Pravitz for winning the 2 U15B Divisions.

Shout outs to Swan City - U14B Ferguson (4-1) and Swan City - U17B Keddy for winning their pools and advancing to the finals.

Special recognition to all the parent volunteers who handled scorekeeping and our admission tables. It is great getting to host in GP and showcasing what the Peace Region has developed.

In Calgary, Swan City - U15G Buhler also came home with Bronze Tournament Rings in the Silver Division of the Alley-OOP Tournament!

This weekend is our 2nd Club Basketball Tournament with the Swan City Pomeroy (Sponsored by Pomeroy Lodging) taking place June 5th to 7th. This weekend will feature 34 teams in U15 Girls, U13 Boys, U13 Girls, U11 Boys and U11 Girls!

Swan City Skyline Tournament is on Day 2 of 3 today. Games are being played at Northwestern Polytechnic, Grande Prairie Composite and Peace Wapiti Academy.
