🏐 From Australia to Grande Prairie, Germany and back again, Tom Wheeler has learned a thing or two about embracing opportunity.

He first came to NWP in 2017 after hearing about the Wolves at a volleyball camp in Australia. His approach to moving halfway around the world?

“I didn’t even look at it on a map.” 😄

What followed was five years as a Wolf, an ACAC block record, a Bachelor of Education and two seasons playing professional volleyball in Germany. Through it all, Grande Prairie kept pulling him back.

“My whole adult life has been here. It feels like a second home.”

Today, Tom is building a life around two things he loves: teaching and volleyball. He’s teaching full-time at St. John Paul II School while giving back to the program that helped shape him as an assistant coach with Wolves Volleyball. 🐺💙🩷

And you can catch him back on the Wolves sidelines this fall!

🏐 Join Tom and the Pack for their home opener on October 16.

🏐 The countdown to Wolves Volleyball is on! 🐺

With our October 16 Volleyball home opener just days away, we're turning the spotlight on someone who knows what it means to be part of the Wolfpack.

Alexandra Pullishy spent four years on the court as a Wolves volleyball player. When her playing career ended, she wasn't ready to leave the sport behind. An opportunity to return as an assistant coach gave her a new way to stay connected to the team she loves.

Now entering her fourth year as assistant coach, Alexandra is helping today's Wolves create the same lasting memories and connections that shaped her own experience.

💬 “Once a Wolf, always a Wolf. I believe it to my very core.”

A great day reconnecting with our Wolves Women’s Basketball alumni! After hitting the court together, our current players had the chance to hear from alumni during speeches and a Q&A, sharing their experiences, lessons learned and valuable advice for the next generation of Wolves.

A huge thank you to our alumni for coming back, sharing your stories and making today so special for our team. We loved having you back in the Wolves Den! 💙🩷
